[history]
Democrat Jennifer Granholm is riding strong support from working women, suburbanites and pro-choice voters to a 12-point lead over Republican Dick Posthumus with 18 days to go in Michigan's race for governor, a Detroit News poll shows.
The statewide telephone survey of 400 likely voters, taken Monday through Wednesday, shows Granholm ahead 47 percent to 35 percent, with 17 percent of voters still undecided. Green Party candidate Doug Campbell drew 1 percent. The survey has an error margin of plus or minus 5 percentage points.

Great, now I can feel utterly helpless agian voting against Levin and Granholm. If you don't live in Detroit or Ann Arbor there is no representation.

Engler was down 12 to Blanchard in 90.

Do you realistically think Posthumus has a chance to win? I'll do my part, but I have little confidence.
Any encouraging thoughts?

Yes. I do. I can't reveal the sources I have, but I think this thing is going to the wire.

I will do my part but I am VERY concerned about all the support she has in Michigan.(according to polls)
Oddly though, everyone I talk to has reservaions about her. "where theres smoke theres fire" is what I hear.

I saw her kissing Detroit's butt on TV the other night. That doesn't play well here in West Michigan...

Nor in Livingston County.

Republican Dick Posthumus What an unfortunate name! Sounds like the award you give someone when they are dead (posthumous). Awful.
To: BlackRazor
I just thank God (and my Reps.) for getting CCW passed before the wrath of Jennifer!
To: BlackRazor
We are doomed. It will be Hillary II... she even leads in Ottawa county, one of the most conservative counties in Michigan.
