[history]
A pistol-packing woman accomplished with two bullets what Pittsburgh police had been attempting to do for days: to stop the man suspected of a string of sexual assaults in the city's East End.
Police Chief Robert W. McNeilly Jr. announced yesterday that all six female assault victims had identified Daniel Wesley, 25, of Homewood, as the man who attacked them during a two-week rampage.

Beat me to it. My thoughts exactly.

Daniel Wesley finally met his match in a woman he made the mistake of thinking was defenseless prey. Darwin Award candidate!!! And never say that a gun won't stop a rapist cold. Here an armed woman helped to end a series of sex assaults in Philadelphia's East End but don't expect the liberal media and the gun banners to acknowledge it.

QUESTION: At the top, he pulled a .22-caliber rifle from his pants, pointed it at her and asked, "How would you like me to shoot you?"ANSWER: BANG!

That's what I call effective gun control - a woman sqeezes off 2 shots off a .357, against a man armed with a rifle.

I love a happy ending ... only thing that might have made it better is if instead of hitting him in the abdomen, she had hit him in the chest or head to save the courts time and the taxpayers money.

Wesley was wounded early Thursday morning when an off-duty University of Pittsburgh security guard shot him twice in the abdomen.I have a sneaking suspicion she was aiming lower!! Just a little more training on the range.....
What a shame that the other women did not have the same chance at self defense, no doubt being suckered in by the specious arguement that "the police will protect you." Yeah, sure. I hope this story is publicized enough to get some women to get trained for carry permits.

Anyone know how to forward this article to the NRA for it's
"Armed Citizen" column???

Wesley was wounded early Thursday morning when an off-duty University of Pittsburgh security guard shot him twice in the abdomen. My only regret is that she didn't manage to squeeze off a third shot just a tad lower.

It's Pittsburgh, not Philthy.

Oops.... my mea culpa! At least it doesn't make the City of Brotherly Love ring ironic.

As of yesterday, detectives were still trying to determine Wesley's motive. Hmmm, that is a toughie! Perhaps this young man was just collecting reparations for 400 years of oppression.
