Did anyone else see what looked like a missle / rocket in the sky over Alameda / San Francisco at 7:00 PM (just now) ? Anbyone know what that was ????

That was spectacular ... my lady and watched it for a while. BIG contrail and rocket engine exhaust. A little scary in todays climate

Missle interceprer test. 'Kill vehicle was launched from a Pacific island went after an ICBM launched from CA. I have a friend in defence industry, told me about this a week ago. Hope the test went well!!!

I missed the launch, they said on the news it would be between 7 and 11 pm. Musta gone off at 7 sharp, all I saw was a not very exciting contrail. Durn...

Vandeberg is the the launch site of preference for polar orbit insertion (heh heh heh, he said insertion...cool)

I thought that might have been your doing :^} . It looked pretty cool from east contra costa county. I was very big then all of a sudden it stopped and disappeared. Instantaneously the contrail, rocket exhaust disappeared
