My son is into rock climbing. He has climbed El Capitan a number of times, the last time solo. When you spend five days on a cliff face, there are two choices: pack it out, or let it drop. The base of El Cap became pretty noxious over time, so most climbers pack it.
When you have to carry over a hundred pounds of gear, it isn't going to make much difference anyway.

Some of our VRWC moles in the Department of Interior had an idea how to improve usage of the targets:
While this initially greatly increased usage, a problem developed. The new improved targets seemed to cause constipation.
Easily explained. Not even the nastiest, vilest, venison-cookout and draft beer induced piece of modell wanted to go anywhere near the target.
