I think your idea has merit. And yes, they should be checking all vehicles. And have patrol cars stationed periodically on the north and south bound lanes. In case the perp catches on that all vehicles are being searched and decides to try and go through the median to avoid being searched. Or leaves the line of cars seeking an alternate route.

I'm starting to wonder if we aren't getting tunnel vision WRT the "white truck".

So far I've heard of 3 reports where a "white truck" was supposedly seen, and the descriptions have varied, from an Isuzu box truck, a white Dodge Caravan, a white "panel van" and a Chevy van.

The other day I was home watching FOX News coverage of a roadblock on I-95/495, and they were pulling over ALL white trucks and vans. And from the sheer number of them, it occurred to me that seeing some kind of a white truck at the scene of these things may just be coincidence and not related at all to the shootings.

In MA, it's a holiday... banks, schools anything related to gub'ment is closed.

I would think MD would be the same. The sniper doesn't work weekends or holidays.

I bet the bastid could be a postal worker... a foot-walker who has a truck. Walks the neighborhood and knows the terrain.

He/she carries a bag without much mail and the rifle is in 2 or 3 parts.

Road noise muffles the shot and when the victim drops, he/she is back on the job in 2 minutes.

I heard on Fox over the weekend that they had found a map near the lastest shooting tracing directions from Northern MD down to the area in VA where last week's events took place. I too have been thinking that the person lived in VA and worked in MD, but this makes me wonder.

Definitely tunnel vision re white truck. They can trade it in now for another vehicle. They can paint it. Any number of options.

It's a good theory. If you go to Mapquest and track each shooting from zip code 23666 you will see how this track is consentant with every shooting. I read a story about two guys that were part of an elite sniping team. The two names in the story turns out is the codenames of two guys in Newport that play military style paintball. Everyone seems to discredit this since it's paintball but seems to me an experienced sniper on the news said the perp perobably plays in competition. A deer hunter said he doesn't know how a deer hunter to change from animal to human. Well, take a guy that has spent the last 17 years playing with realistic sniper guns shooting at people for a sport. The story I mentioned earlier was posted in late Aug. and spoke of leaving death tarot cards at the scenes of the snipings. The only other person on this elite sniping team which has the name of the other story sniper lives in Hampton right next to his buddy in Newport News. All of this information put together leads to a very high probable suspect.
If these guys own over $5000 in legal paintball guns then how many real guns do they own?

All snipers I have seen wear black. Is this why the shooters are so brazen? Are they driving a black jeep?

From another thread: Chief Moose acknowledged that police had been on the lookout for an older model burgundy Chevrolet Caprice, which was spotted leaving the scene of an Oct. 3 fatal shooting in Northwest.

So heads up people. One more thing to do in our spare time.

I wonder if the police are trying to canvas Bowie area today? The only other monday shooting was Bowie and he seems to have a pattern of shooting same place on certain days of the week. Not consistant pattern but none the less.

I agree. It would also follow the middle shooting #10 and the south shooting #11. His pattern will show his opposite track will be a north one for #12. Bowie (maybe D.C.)

I think he is a delivery man and uses that truck during work. If so, he is not off today. But he usually hits early doesn't he?

Maybe he is traveling the the Baltimore beltway today to secure his name as the beltway sniper. If so, it would take him longer to get there but he may also wait untill late. He has done nightime shootings only.
