The destruction would be unthinkable if these same terrorists had weapons of mass destruction courtesy of Saddam Hussein. We cannot not lose our nerve. Instead we should continue, and even intensify, our program to eliminate terrorism.

Its tragic - for Australia its proportional to the numbers killed in S11.

Australia needed a wake-up call but not a disaster of such magnitude. Short of an attack on the Oz mainland, the symbolic effect of Kuta Beach, a place of pilgrimage to many young Australians, is hard to imagine.
