Kirsanow is a superb speaker. Alabama Freepers should come and attend and provide him with moral support. He may need it!

This is a great opportunity for Alabama Freepers to give this guy a friendly audience. There will be a lot of hostile there folks there.

It is this often that Freepers have this kid of opportunity in Alabama to support an ally.

Kirsanow is a nice guy but he is quite a hard hitter on the lecturn platform. I don't think we every have to worry about him "turning RINO." Please keeping bumping to the top.

Captain Kirk,
What's this guy's book "Healthcare Ghetto" about?
- Bones
To: Captain Kirk

Sounds like a fun talk to hear. Even Spock is smiling.
To: bonesmccoy
Bones: The Health Care Ghetto? You wouldn't like it. There you will find "Suitchers, scapels and people sown up like garmets."
As to the Kirsanow talk, you might want to check out the following article:

Actually, the full title of the talk is "Grade Inflation and the Decline of Academic Standards."
To: Captain Kirk
"Suitchers, scapels and people sown up like garmets." I'm not familiar with the allusion. (Sounds Elizabethan but not Shakespearean.)
Can you fill me in?

It is (more or less) a quote from a Star Trek episode in which a crazed Dr. McCoy is transported back to the 1930s and has a manic depressive rant about the barbaric hospital conditions of the period.
To: Captain Kirk
Cool. I guess I was reading too much into the bad spelling (grin).
Bones was one of my favorite characters.

Well...spelling was never my speciality and I was too lazy to check the dictionary.
To: Captain Kirk
That's okay by me.
Anyway, thanks for the article.
