They should just give up the pretense and call it what it has become - the "Bash America Prize."

As the whole world can see from this debacle. Carter getting this prize is so fraudulent. Eyes must be tired. First time reading this I saw "flatulant."

And 99% of the British are embarassed when they see you fly the Union Jack. Yes that's why my mailbox is flooded with hate mail saying the same. Not.
Give it a rest or you will be receiving the FR Goebbels Medal!
Unlikely, Comrade. Still smarting from the last time you tried to push pacifism?

Hey Clod, I hope you're kidding.

MadIvan, you've got your very own stalker! Oh, joy. I suspect he's the same unwashed fellow who tried to hit me up for change at the London Underground station, for the Socialist Worker newspaper. I tried to explain to him that John Lennon is now dead and can't call off the "Not Washing for Peace" movement, but as you see, to no avail.

I have one thing to say to these clowns:
Another Nobel Prize to add to our pile! America is the greatest! HA!
To: Physicist
But can it be said to be America's prize if it goes to Jimmy Carter? Wouldn't he claim it for the "world community" or suchlike?

And they wonder why so many people no longer respect the Nobel organization and see it as nothing but a socialist hate group.

give it to Ronald Reagan. He ended the Cold War, after all. Oh, you know Reagan had nothing to do with it. The Soviet Union didn't collapse until 1991, after all. </sarcasm>

Actually the Communists themselves say Reagan was responsible for their demise. A former high official in the Stasi said so. I just wish I had that book still.

..."should be interpreted as a criticism" of President George W Bush's policy on Iraq [...] "It's a kick in the leg to all that follow the same line as the United States," Mr Berge said. ![](http://www.btinternet.com/~john.harrowven/silk/redhotpo.jpg)
I'll leave it to you to "interpret" what this means and which of your body parts it relates to, Gunnar.

I just can't stand the way these leftist jerks think the only real way to peace is through endless conferences and saying nice things, instead of through ACTION. Carter gets all the credit, and Reagan gets labeled a psychotic Rambo. It's such BS.

Miss Hopper must be on the Nobel committee. IQ=room temp.
To: Notforprophet
Was Carter practicing "decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts" when he sent our forces into Iran on a botched rescue attempt of the hostages?Of course! Only Americans died there, and we don't count since we're the world's agressor!

Wouldn't he claim it for the "world community" or suchlike? He might. But that won't be reflected in the table that lists the count of Nobel prizes by country.
It's like racking up gold medals in the Olympics.

1983 Lech WalesaThat's the ONLY one they've gotten right.
