He's not really a GOP. He's Libertarian.

....and voting with the DIMocRATS.

Thanks, I don't really know that much about him. Since this article lists him being from Surfside, I figured he probably lived in California (second home) or something, lol !! (I assume Surfside must be around Padre Island).

Ron Paul was one of six Republican Congressman ( Republican Jim Leach was the ONLY one from Iowa ) voting against the largely unilateral United States' Iraq War Resolution of 2002.

He is a former Vietnam flight surgeon in the USAF with his medical degree from a crummy medical school in North Carolina called Duke University, where I have worked.

Ron Paul's comments were amongst the most lucid at the time and the Hilarys can all try to backtrack now - damage and dead are done.

Ron Paul was among his numerous writings on the record an early opponent of CAFTA / DR-CAFTA, but the misinformed did not listen to his words of wisdom and seven weeks later it was passed 217-215 and U.S. farmers can now suffer.

Ron Paul advocates a Federal government that stays out of the States' affairs - just as the framers of the Constitution intended. The citizenry of all the States are proud that he has been there as OUR voice - even if some Texans ain't.

As a former Vietnam flight surgeon and the most applauded Congressman by the National Taxpayer's Union, Ron Paul has populist appeal to ONLY libertarian Republicans who are staunchly pro-life and who desire States' autonomy - not the pandering courters of gay rights/same-sex marriage from Massachusetts who supported the abortion pill RU-486 like MITT ROMNEY -.

America needs Ron Paul now more than ever before as the GOP nominee for President of these United States. As a libertarian, he DOES need to compromise more on foreign policy though, and that will be a problem for him for the GOP nomination.

The full record of what Ron Paul said in 2002 at the deliberations for the Iraq War Resolution (along with the only Iowan Jim Leach) in which they both fought for the men and woman of Texas and Iowa who have now ultimately died or are now permanently maimed - and Ron Paul's comments during the closed CAFTA negotiations where 214 other Congressman tried to heed THOSE warnings - can be found at the Iowans for Ron Paul blog at:
