It is the year 2020 eighteen years into the future. The middle east is adorned with democratic republics, and much is better in the world. Charles Barkley is in his second term as President, and Bill OReilly is in his umpteenth year as the Factor Man.
The crisp scentfulness of autumn leaves is in the air and it is Americas day of thanks, Thanksgiving. All is well at the OReilly home, and to top it off Bills 21 year old daughter will be coming home in the afternoon from Yale for the holiday festivities. She will be bringing home a friend whose family had to be in Europe on business for the Holidays.
The table is set in a beautiful display, and the house is filled with the grand fragrance of the very large and perfectly stuffed turkey. It is around 4:00 p.m. when the daughters car rushes through the scattered assortment of red, orange, and yellow maple leaves in front of the house. It comes to a stop. He notices and is glad that she has kept the Mercedes clean and shiney and there is not one ding to be seen.
He finally sees her as she exits the car. A beautiful young lady tall and willowy with a long, elegant neck, auburn hair, and the face of an angel. Out of the other side of the car comes her friend. He goes down the sidewalk, football in hand, to meet them. Trying as best he can to hurriedly swallow the considerable hunk of turkey that he mischeviously snared in the kitchen, he hugs the love of his life and bids a very pleasant greeting to Sarah, the friend.
Bill tosses down the ball and hurries to the car to retieve the girls bags. As he heads back up the sidewalk he notices a rainbow sticker on the friends overnight bag. Then he looks up to see daughter and friend heading toward the front entrance hand in hand. Hmmmmm!
Oh well, not all Thanksgivings can be tranquil and quiescent. Then, Bill wakes in a cold sweat and is greatly relieved. It was all just a nightmare. No Coming Out Day for Bill O., not just yet!
