Kids in Maryland now have inside recess. They are going bonkers. The school doesn't want any major physical exersize during this stent.

Any suggestions?? We are in it for the long haul.

I wonder why they can't use the gym for recess purposes.. :( The gym teacher could be the leader in that area.

I wish. The "gym" is also the lunch room. No room for anything else.

It's as though the teachers don't want anything to rile up the kids. They want quiet activities. (But isn't the purpose of recess a time to go wild, for just a little bit?)

Kids are doing fine so far. Better than the parents.

Need some fresh ideas on how help "entertain" them. Since we appear to be in it for the long haul, same old games, books and puzzles are gonna get old.

I was thinking that under the circumstances, one would think they could remove the tables for lunch, and let everyone eat in their rooms...and then go to the gym for recess. SO what if it causes them an extra 15-20 minutes for lunch.

Has the PTA considered alternative ways to eat so as to free up the gym?

I will add them JB..

John 14, verse 27
27: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

"One death can affect so many."

Yes, Lord, and please let the next death related to this killer, be his or her very own, that is unless YOU have a better plan.

It looks like many more people are indeed affected again. Praying for the family and friends of the woman who died tonight at Home Depot. And for all of you out there and in the VA area. OH L0RD, please let this end. Be with LE and help them solve this now.

Ave Maria, gratia plena,
Dominus tecum,
benedicta tu in mulieribus,
et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus.
Sancta Maria, Mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatoribus,
nunc et in hora mortis nostræ.

Amen.

Lord, give wisdom to those who are charged with the protection of our citizens ... lead them to those who have shattered families and instilled fear within us. Cause us to commit all to You, for only You can see what we cannot, and do what we cannot.

May Your hand of comfort be upon those who have lost loved ones to these tragedies; sustain those who seek an end to this slaughter; and bring down those who do evil against us. We do not merit Your mercy, Lord, but we pray for such because of, and in the precious name of Jesus, Amen ...

From the Lutheran Hymnal 1941, page 105

Almighty God, cast not away thy people who cry unto Thee in their tribulation, but for the glory of Thy name be pleased to help the afflicted; through Jesus Christ, Thy son, our Lord. Amen

Prayers in progress.

Also, I heard Mark Fuhrman say the police are exhausted and eating junk food and that they can't keep up this pace much longer.

(Hint hint....) If I lived in the area, I think I'd be inclined to cook up a batch of chicken soup or stew or brownies, or etc, and deliver them to the closest police station!

Saint Michael, Archangel, defend us in battle.

Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.

And you, Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into Hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.
