Schoolteachers should not be armed -- nor most parents. I favor armed LE, armed security, and armed civilian patrols

I suppose{?} I can understand not arming teachers, especially if you mean while on the job, but I can't figure out the "nor most parents" part. I'm not clear if you mean while on school grounds or in general, or the rationale you use to make that generalizing statment.

Armed LEO/security/civ. patrols are a great thing, but if it came down to a do-or-die situation, I certainly would not depend on others to immediately avail themselves when seconds count and can determine the outcome.

I would however, be all for contacting the LEO so they may come and properly dispose of the dead body slumped over one of my windows.
