Your contention seems logical.
But there are things from WWII etc. that are still very secret. Certainly from the Viet Nam war. It CAN be done.
Whether THAT secret could be kept SO well remains to be seen. I could believe that it can. Only time will tell.

The last big thing they tried to keep from the public was the NSA. It remained secret about a week and a half.
