I was reading the LA Times this morning (I get it on Sunday for the grocery store coupons); came across an article in the California section, P10. It covers all the bills and resolutions that Davis either passed or vetoed. They kind of missed AB 2240. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/763018/posts

So what else has passed or been vetoed that we don't know about?

P.18 of the same section has an article about a "small group" of protesters carrying hand-lettered signs, trying to imply that anti-Davis protesters weren't worth mentioning. So the sheep all show up with their manufactured signs, and Davis protesters show up with signs that took some thought and actual work-not to mention humor. Could any of them have come up with the egray hooker? The styrofoam cutouts of Gray Davis? They can kiss my rear end. Think I'm going to cancel my subscription to the Times and start one with the local rag. It isn't worth the extra coupons :(

Does this include the Freeper who stole a sign which belonged to the Davis campaign?
No.
Thank you for bumping this thread, though! ;o)
Seriously, I did not see EVERYTHING that went on at this event, as there were MULTIPLE points of attack - so I am not familiar with the "outrage" to which you are referring, but as for "stealing" those goofy Davis signs:
Ha, ha.
They were GIVING the damn things away to anyone who would take them!
I do NOT condone "littering," if THAT makes you feel better, but I will say that the quality, passion and creativity that went into OUR signs was INFINITELY superior to THESE mass-produced, soul-less and VAPID exemplars:

RonDog tries to decode the hidden message in the vapid Gray Davis sign
We decided that the "VALUES" that the RATs share with Davis must refer to his being pro-abortion, but for the LIFE of us, we could not see how he can brag about his "EXPERIENCE" as being "TRUST-worthy" with a straight face...

LOL!

MY personal favorite example of "media denial" is THIS quote from the AP story, as reported in the San Francisco Chronicle:

"...About 30 protesters carried signs that stated "Davis: A Name You Can Buy," and "Blackout Davis," as they marched across the street from the hotel. Democrats who attended the rally saw them only as they entered the hotel..."
What the HECK does THAT mean, and why was it considered important enough to be included in this (short) article???
Perhaps the AP writer was hearing-impaired, and was therefore unable to report HEARING the "DUMP DAVIS!" chants which regularly wafted over the wall, or BOOMED IN from our strategic perch below.

LOL!
And, "only as they entered the hotel..."

She needs to get out more! We were EVERYWHERE!!!
(Except on stage...)

When we get the VIDEO posted online, her words will be PARTICULARLY hollow!
Elephant in the living room?
I didn't see no elephant in the living room!
(Besides, it wasn't a very BIG elephant anyway...)

I don't think he was a thief - I think the supply of signs was pretty loose and a few fell on the ground and got captured. RonDog also captured a Davis sign, and I'm confident he did it legitimately.

However, I will agree that it was bad form for this protester to tear it up and throw it into the crowd.

As I recall, I was the only person watching him. I don't remember recognizing any familiar faces nearby, which isn't difficult to understand since the legitimate protest was on the other side of the street at that time.

I noticed the same thing about the security. I really, really wanted to get pictures of it, but knew I would be considered a highly suspicious character if I did. But they were definitely VERY careful.

When I mentioned to the guard that I was attending the anti-Davis protest, he said something like "Oh, I don't hate you then." I was surprised at the intensity of that expression, but how could I blame the guy? :-)

One problem with our initial plan is that we were both much greater in numbers and much louder than we originally believed. Realistically, nobody could allow us anywhere near the venue while Clinton or Davis was speaking - we would have violated their own free speech rights (however pathetically they were exercised in the actual speech).

After all, boring people have rights too, and unfortunately to undermine the rights of the boring is not morally correct, either.

No; we got what we needed, which was our dramatic protest, and Davis got what he needed, which was ... um ... well ... er ... probably just the union campaign contributions he picked up at the event.

Did anyone else find it strange that they couldn't think of a better song to wrap things up than Sister Sledge "We are Family"? I found it strange to be hearing a 1970s Disco classic as a theme song for 2002 America. Perhaps the Democrats really are a bit outdated.

Freepin'fantabulous Freep!

No wonder you are tired. You were all over the place!! I'm delighted that so many came out.

Next time -- carry a DUMP sign that you can paste over 'Governor' --- if you can't get a (ugh) Davis (((bleatch))) bumper sticker off.

(Hi Ron!)

When Security and the Secret Service get to know and trust you, dealing with them is a pleasure. They have to act professional, but most of them, deep inside, are on your side. Most of the time, they don't say anything, but you get little hints.

Good Freep! I'm sure Hill and Davis were ticked off.

We had a fun time once, we went into the nest where the so-called peace-niks live...

and we were all thrown out bodily... so much for peace!!

These demon-rats are sometimes comical, but that might sway us from the battle, they are extra-ordinarily dangerous...

ask hellinahandcart and KLT!!

God Bless you for rolling in hot to the belly of the beast...

you have just joined the growing list of "Commando FReepers!!"

Someday the democrat controlled media won't be able to ignore Republican protesters, maybe it will be today : )

I heard John & Ken discussing our Freep of Davis' office, last week, when they did their show in front of Davis' office building in LA. One of them said, "What happened to our mob when we tried to go up the elevator? They should have been with us. They backed down and stayed in the lobby staring at us!" The other one (I think Ken) said "They were Freepers, a right wing law and order group, they aren't going to get arrested, like the left wingers do!"
