Simon would do well to stand on his principles, if he could be sure what they are.

Does this mean Davis' polls show he's not that far in front?

Definitely not prime time. I suppose Simon's team agreed to it because they thought it was better than no debate at all. But it's not a whole lot better.
With his weak ad campaign, Simon hasn't shown his face to many Californians. He's an attractive guy, but people need to see him. Otherwise Davis and the media will define him for them.

I have heard John and Ken of KFI Radio give the Simon Campaign many suggestions for TV ads etc. But Simon's campaign doesn't take any of them! I heard that Simon's advertisements to counter Gray Davis' negative attacks were "I'm not perfect"
What is this about? I HOPE Simon wins...but either his campaign managers are working for Davis...or Simon is there to make Davis win!
Let's shock the California-Power-Elite and GIVE Siimon the BIGGEST Victory we've ever seen!
Just like in New Jersey...the Democrats have learned how to play elections and It's Time the Voters took the Power BACK!

Hmmm...Simon is behind in the polls. So maybe he should pull out now and relief pitcher/candidate replace him on the ballot. It's not legal but, hey, it's been APPROVED by the NJ Supreme Court.

The debate is Monday, 10/7/02, at noon, since Davis wanted to guarantee low viewership; his evenings are all booked with fundraisers anyway. Maybe NBC confused the dates? Monday is also the last day to register for this election, so any unregistered adult citizen who watches the debate has little chance be motivated to register the same afternoon.
Does anyone know which radio stations will broadcast the debate, live or delayed? What is KQED-FM's "California Report" or what stations subscribe to it?
RonDog posted a list of TV stations planning to televise the debate live (near the bottom of post #19):
KTLA (Los Angeles), KTVU (San Francisco), KSWB (San Diego), KTXL (Sacramento)
