I'm personally pulling for the team that Bud Selig says shouldn't exist - the Minnesota Twins Cinderella, your carriage awaits!
Me, too! Because every time the Twins win the Series, the Redskins win the Superbowl! Go 'Skins!

Is that John Sterling I hear? "The Yankees lose The Yankees lose Thhhhheeeeeheheheheeeeheheheheheee Yankees lose!" The Yankees are done, the Angels are good, John Sterling is goofy and you Diddle are funny.

The problem witht the Yankees is they have ruined major league basebase. Or I should say Steinbrenner has ruined it. Starting with paying Catfish Hunter a cool million, Then Reggie, then every other big named star from small market teams. The chances are a small market team will all most never get a shot at the brass ring. The Yankees didn't ruin baseball. The nucleus of the great Yankee teams over the past few years was mostly homegrown. Jeter, Soriano, Williams, Posada, Pettite, Rivera, Hernandez, Mendoza.
Most of the high priced free agents the Yanks bring in usually don't work out.
...and how 'bout them Twins?

Normally, of course, I'd never stoop to revelling in another's misfortune, but after the tons of crap I had to endure last year from the most obnoxious fans in baseball, bar none, I can only say
SWEEEEEET!!!!
To: FreeReign
I also assert that the Yankee success in the expanded playoffs, while a great credit to them, was somewhat of a fluke. THREE layers of playoff games, with the first series 5 game, LONG TERM, is a recipe for randomness and no dynasties.
It was anomalous that the Yankees were so dominant in such a format, RIGHT when the format began. You'll never see that again.
People need to wake up and realize that if their local small-market team (Royals, Brewers, etc.) SUCKS, it's because their team is run by morons, not because the Yankees compete unfairly.

correction, they are the most overpaid successful sports team in history - and that's why they suck. =)

Go Angels! People here in Orange County are so stoked! Just makes it an easier road for the Twins to get back to the World Series. Bud handing Carl Pohlad the trophy - will be one of the greatest sports moments of all time!

Does this mean we not gonna hear that irish singer sing God bless America anymore ?

Love to see a Twins Cardinals series.
Goes to show that guarateed contracts and high paid players don't always triumph, which ultimately is good for the game, even if the moron Bud Selig isn't.

You Yankee fans brag when you win and drag out yesterday's newspapers when you lose. Predictable and shameful. Right now is what matters and they lost. It's only a game remember ;-) It's one thing for people to celebrate if they're, say, Angels fans; it's entirely another thing to celebrate if they're simply Yankee haters. I've already heard from more than one gloating Met fan tonight, and it's like, what the bleep are you gloating about? *Your* team finished in last place!

YOU ARE ALL JEALOUS.
SEE YOU NEXT OCTOBER.
Bill from Nutley, (yankee fan).

OH MAN!!! This is really going to pi$$ off Hillary!!! Way to go Angels!! ROTFLMAO!!! For the zillionth time, Hillary is not a real Yankee fan; she just pretended to be one to impress the stupid New York Democrats. She's never been to one Yankee game in her life, and if she ever showed her fat ankles at one, she'd get booed out of the stadium.

Believe it or not, now that my Yankees are out of it, that's who I'm rooting for as well. The Twins because I'm against contracting them, and the Cardinals for having some of the most knowledgeable fans in baseball, and for perservering after the tragic death of Darryl Kile.

Ironic --Tino is moving on to the next round --Giambi goes home. lol
