There is no way — NO WAY — a dog approximately a foot tall could have behaved to cause anyone remotely familiar with dogs to be unable to control it easily.

Yep. I could control an Italian Greyhound with one hand while mixing a drink with the other. And, no damage to dog or drink.

This sadist is unfit to treat vermin, let alone man's best friend.

My heart breaks for the dog he killed. He needs to kicked around and beat a few times so that he 'gets it"

Let me get my hands on this creep!
I'm a small Italian, but I pack quite a punch.

Tough guy with a poor defenseless animal huh?

What a thoroughly charming and sweet photo. Is it of your dog? I have never owned an IG, although I really like them. I used to train and show German Wirehared Pointers, so became familiar with most breeds recognized by the AKC. After the Sporting Group, the Terriers and Toys are my favorites (although I also love Dobermans because I rescued one once and had him for about 10 years). Can you imagine a vet, of all people, smacking an IG around enough to kill it?! If one of the employees at that vet business hadn't turned him in, they would have charged the owner for the "work," and given the owner some phony medical reason why the little dog died in their care. And the owner would never have known the truth. Just enrages me to thing about it.

No, this is a professional dog I found with a web search. I do have it's "twin", however. IGs have been around at least 2000 years and are seen in Roman art. They are among the most affectionate breeds.

They have a couple of drawbacks. They do not like being alone for long periods of time, some of them have fragile bones and most are difficult to housebreak. We have two, both came to us as adults from people who could not cope with their demanding nature.
