What a thoroughly charming and sweet photo. Is it of your dog? I have never owned an IG, although I really like them. I used to train and show German Wirehared Pointers, so became familiar with most breeds recognized by the AKC. After the Sporting Group, the Terriers and Toys are my favorites (although I also love Dobermans because I rescued one once and had him for about 10 years). Can you imagine a vet, of all people, smacking an IG around enough to kill it?! If one of the employees at that vet business hadn't turned him in, they would have charged the owner for the "work," and given the owner some phony medical reason why the little dog died in their care. And the owner would never have known the truth. Just enrages me to thing about it.
