Bob Barr is a good man who served his country well as a conservative Representative. People may take cheap shots at him now, but that doesn't change the truth.

Thanks, good read, good points.
Maybe he should be re-named: Fox. (As in dumb like a)

WOW! I learned some new things about our President in this article. I never knew Ann Richards baited him by so much name calling. But I am not surprised to learn he responded by simply calling her 'Govenor Richards'. This man is killing them with dignity. Amazing. And I never guessed that he tried to give Daschle a chance to back out gracefully from his temper tantrum on the senate floor-but Daschle refused the gesture and went right on ranting away.
Goodness...in the end, character wins! (Take THAT Carville, hitlery and big bill!)

"WOW - Well, this author is preaching to the choir here, but even so... I think she nailed it. Our W doesn't take the bait. He is SO patient - it drives me crazy sometimes. But it serves him (and our country) very, very well."LOL! I don't know why, but for some reason, your remark above reminded me of our rescue expedition a couple of years ago. We live in southcentral Minnesota, and in the summer, every creature in the wild seems to be heading for a lake. On this particular day, we topped a rise and saw a huge snapping turtle making his way across the highway, going about as fast as a snapping turtle would go. He didn't worry about anything, just kept heading in the direction he intended. We stopped and guided him across, stopping traffic and allowing the old patriarch to reach the shore of the lake.
George Bush reminds me of this turtle: He puts his plan in motion, then with all deliberateness, he moves ahead on his course, not concerned with what might come. I'm sure that turtle didn't know someone would come along and help him cross the highway, but I know Bush knows that all he has to do is keep deliberately paying out the rope the Democrats are using to hang themselves with.

Thought this deserved a "post midterm election" bump.
