Dick Gephardt joined President Bush on the White House lawn Wednesday to lend his support to a joint resolution of force on Iraq and to talk tough about Saddam Hussein. So much for Barbra Streisand's fax! Is she aware that her fax has fallen on deaf ears? I don't know what Dick told you, Ms. Streisand, out there at the Kodak Theater when you guys were making up Shakespeare quotes, but your appeasement orders have been totally ignored. This has to raise eyebrows.

 What a bad day to be B.S. Here's President Bush surrounded by beaming, awe-struck Democrats and Republicans, announcing agreement on the resolution of force for Iraq. (It now goes to Congress to be debated, but it's a done deal.) Her beloved United Nations gets only a scant mention. She sang nine songs at the Kodak Theater, went and got all dolled up to raise millions for her beloved Democratic Party, and they stick it to her!
First she had that embarrassing fax memo. Then she misquoted Shakespeare. She's so inaccurate that she has a website with "truth alerts" where she corrects her own embarrassing mistakes. Just imagine if you'd dictated a letter to Gephardt the summarized theme of which is: Don't support Bush. Bush is dangerous. This is horrible. We need Clinton back. Don't go to war. Don't lose American lives. It's not worth it. That's not the problem.
You do all that, and Gephardt goes and ignores you, proving that you're wrong – this isn't Vietnam. The war has come to us. This is just classic, folks. I don't think Gephardt is going to be getting more faxes anytime soon. |

I don't think Gephardt is going to be getting more faxes anytime soon. Heck, that may be WHY he is supporting Bush. Getting that Yenta to shut up and go away would be worth two invasions.
