If the spelling of America and the mention of the Middle East are clues, and not misdirection, then perhaps our friends from the religion of peace © were just celebrating 9-11's anniversary a bit by fouling one of our national shrines.

I dunno. It was found back on Sept 8. The protests were last weekend, Sept 27-29.

They're fortunate they weren't caught in the act....preferably by Old Guard members coming back from Georgetown with a few drinks under the belt.

Gutless cowards...Defacing a memorial of historic proportions. The wording "Amerika" leads me to believe it's some leftist whacko's..Wish I could have caught them in the act...

They're fortunate they weren't caught in the act.You can say that again. In fact, they were extremely lucky that they weren't caught by a marine (or anybody from the armed services for that matter).

Disgusting.
Of course, our artist friends are most certainly unaware that they besmirched the U.S. Marines within yards of another monument to peace, the Netherlands Carillon. There is no incongruity with the location.
The Dutch, you see, were grateful for the peace brought them by the likes of the United States Marines. The Carillon was dedicated in 1960, on the fifteenth anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands.
