The TorricelliLautenberg machine That is a mouthful and over the top and inane. Forrester would have been better off to say the Torricelli-Lautenberg wing of the Democrat party, or just Torricelli and Lautenberg. It is odd to characterize as a "machine" as mechanism whose disparate parts would commit homicide against one another if they could get away with it.

How about shortening it to Torch-Loserberg?

Yeah, but they both know that the DemonCRAP bosses will commit homicide against BOTH of them if they don't do what they are told. This gives them a strong incentive to bury the hatchet -- at least until after the election.

I disagree. The "machine" implies political cronyism and corruption, exactly what just happened in NJ the last 2 days. I think Doug needs to keep pointing out the unethical behavior of both Torch and now the NJ Dim machine. He should say that he is now on a mission to change the corrupt political environment in the state of NJ.

There is no other apt way to describe what the democratic party is in NJ than "machine".
It is not about the personalities of Torricelli and Lautenberg. It is the orchestration of this outrage today that both are complicit in.
And despite the touted enmity between the two the money got passed over to the "successor", no?
That is the sign of a well oiled machine.

That is a mouthful and over the top ... it'll work just fine for the 75% of the population that couldn't identify the decade the civil war occurred in ...
