And the big question is: Are the people of New Jersey going to be suckered with this illegal, immoral, unethical game of "this guy is a loser so let's get a new one at the last minute"?

I agree. Lautenberg has been out of the fray for 2 years and is 78. I heard him interviewed a few months ago and I thought he was very incoherent. Doug should set a debate for next week and challenge Frankie to show up. And, they should be dredging the record for anti-war, anti-military votes by Frankie in his past. They should also be putting commercials out explaining to the voters of NJ the details of this political scam by the Dims. Counter punch hard and knock Frankie and the Dims for a loop, right now!

Thanks for the numbers. Doug Forrester needs to use them in his ads. He needs to use them in term of, "New Jersey loses 33 cents for every dollar it sends to Washington." Not only does this put the fact that New Jersey is losing money on its taxes but it brings into question the tax policies of the Democrats and makes a case for cutting taxes. New Jersey keeps 33 cents in the state for every dollar that taxes are cut.

assuming that the votes are cast and counted without the fraud.

Ummm, did you see that one of the Soprano Court stipulations was that the Democratic Party is responsible for reprinting the new ballots?

Nah, no potential for fraud there. Move along. Nothing to see.

Pray for this and all other elections

Bump. Pray for justice and may God bless our nation and restore to its people a deep reverence and respect for the principles and wisdom upon which it was founded.

I like the use of Torricelli/Lautenberg's machine in this release

I dunno. It's not plausible. It's a known fact that the two hate each other. It is the corrupt NJ Democrat machine that needs to go.

Hindsight's 20-20, but it seems the GOP lawyers blew it. They should have known the lay of the land. The argument was always going to be whether or not a remedy was feasible. It was never going to be about the letter of the law. They should have known that. Water under the bridge.

Now the job is to campaign and win. If they take their same inept lawyers to the next level, what do they expect to accomplish? I can tell you what they will accomplish: More embarrassment for NJ. More delays and chaos in this election. More politicization of our courts.

I'm just speaking off the top of my head. Maybe I am dead wrong. It has been a long, bad day today for anyone who lives in NJ and cares deeply about our government and our country. I am mad at the world today. So maybe I am wrong. But they won't win this in court. They have to campaign. Take the gloves off and slam these sleazebags.

Frank quit the Senate because he was going to lose to Whitman...he's not a dominating figure in New Jersey as his last election results show.

Forrester still should win this election, and the sleaze associated with this trick will really hurt the Carnahans, Johnsons, and Harkins who have to campaign under the Democrat ticket. You have to wonder what they think of this nice little gambit.

And anytime the word "machine" is used with regard to politics is a hard hit, imo. Conjures up images of cars full of bad guys running cars full of young boys delivering newspapers off the road, Mr Smith Goes to Washington style, and other such evils.

Of course I do. But I don't want the USSC deciding election matters, either.

So you believe that the SCOTUS should've allowed Gore to win his selective recounts and be president now?

I want to know why Christy Witman has loaded the SCONJ with liberal scofflaws.

Probably because the Dems in NJ would've blocked anyone to the right of Alan Combs.

I want to know why the idiot that presented the Republican case to SCONJ got his butt kicked by the Dems.

1 day to prepare versus weeks for the Dems.

I want to know why the public educated NJ electorate is so corrupt that the majority would apparently keep Torch in as long as they have, and then blindly elect his backroom-dealing replacement over an milquetoast ?conservative? candidate.

Sheepleism. That's why we have to fight the Dems on their level, it's the only way to defeat them.

The democrats themselves aren't the only problem, and "beating" them in the courts is not the only solution.

We have to throw every weapon we have at them. They already control the media, the universites, the schools, the networks. And now you want to hand them the court system without a fight also?

Tom Paine would have had more fight in him than Sam.

BS. I'm saying kick Lautenwhoever's butt in the polls, not the courts, that's all.

BTW, Tom Paine was a liberal, proposed the first version of Social Security Taxes, and he died penniless, living on the welfare of others.

" I HONESTLY thought Frank was about to have a stroke during his acceptance speech. He looks awful."

Over the last few hours, I have come to see Lautenberg as a gift. For anyone who missed his wandering and confused speech last night- I believe Great Grandpa Lautenberg has one foot in the Alzheimer's Unit. To imagine this man actually driving a car, is scary, let alone, being able to vote on life or death matters in the US Senate. The NJ Dems forgot to actually interview Frank, before offering him the slot-how are they going to hide Frank for the next 4 weeks?? Can anyone confirm that Lautenberg is actually still alive and not a New Jersey version of Weekend at Bernie's?? I eagerly await the debates-if Frank has not been declared legally incompetent by then.
