in a nuts hell, because taurus' weapons were being used by thugs, and they didn't do anything to stop the licensed dealers from selling to thugs, they are liable...
the ny times refuses to ask why the bureau of a,t &f isn't liable for not keeping stricter tabs on licensed dealers.
