Bush 'stole election and poisoned democracy'
Madrid - US actress Jessica Lange says she "hates" President George Bush's administration and regards a possible attack on Iraq as "unconstitutional, immoral and illegal", Spanish press reports said on Thursday.
The 53-year-old Oscar-winning actress lambasted the US government at a press conference at the San Sebastian film festival, where she received a lifetime achievement award.
"What Bush intends to do with Iraq is unconstitutional, immoral and illegal," Lange was quoted as saying.
"I hate Bush. I despise him and his entire administration - not only because of its international policy, but also the national. Today it makes me feel ashamed to come from the United States - it is humiliating."
'The atmosphere in my country is poisonous' "Bush stole the elections and since then we have all been suffering the consequences. The Iraq plan is absolutely mad, but what I do not understand is that nobody tries to stop it - neither inside nor outside the United States," the actress added.
"The atmosphere in my country is poisonous, intolerable for those of us who are not right-wing, so thank you for inviting me to this festival and allowing me to get out for a few days," Lange said on receiving the Donostia Prize, presented by Spanish actor Jose Coronado.
She also slammed Hollywood and said she preferred to work in Europe. - Sapa-DPA

I have not seen anything in the mainstream media about the press conference, but there are quite a few people mad at her as I have had to close the board and guestbook until they all find someone else to harrass. I am tired of dealing with them, they are extremely rude and vicious. (You must have the message board bookmarked)...anyway, I really don't know the the impact this will have on her stage career, we can hope none, but who knows...

It would seem that Hollywood is getting a free ride for this outrage.
When I searched Google for "Jessica Lange" "hate the president", I only found one match, ta-da! It was at JessicaLange.net in an article titled Dark Victory (from the Guardian):

A search of "Jessica Lange" "I hate Bush" reveals that MSNBC did give it some gossip coverage but outside of MSNBC, it got no wire coverage.
