"Try to shoehorn" is correct. Even this, though short of resignation, is a violation of the law, as I understand it.

So that's the finess. But aren't the ballots printed already? Isn't the deadline passed to be included? Looks like, kowing they have lost Torch's seat, they are trying to pull a FLA 2000 style end-run around the law. Or at least, to have an issue to drum up the dim base in the other races.
