I wanted the let the wonderful folks at FR's Finest know what a
wonderful FIRST LADY we have!! (Some of you already got this news).
In early August I wrote to her, thanking her for what she and her husband were doing for our country and to let them know I was praying for them, and sent the sketches I had drawn of them, as well as a picture of our son, Eric, who was at the time in Basic Training.
Saturday, I got an envelope from the White House (which I opened very carefully since my hands were trembling!), and in it was a beautiful letter from the First Lady in which she thanked me for my prayers and 'kind words of support,' for my 'wonderful drawings' and the picture of my son. She asked me to thank him for his service to our nation! (I'm going to do that as soon as he calls again!!)
She then said that the 'positive spirit of Americans like you makes us very proud.'
I can hardly believe that the First Lady of this land was so thoughtful to respond personally to a letter that she obviously had read!!
What CLASS!!
