Our Senate should pass the homeland defense bill and then empower our CIA
(to find out exactly) who is inciting this kind of rubbish....
Is that more like what you meant? I am really sure you did not mean our CIA was inciting, but thought it might help to point it out...

Would tiny tom daschle and uncle teddy wish to debate the issue further?
To: Diogenesis
Dio can you clean up the photo in 16...the writing on the right hand side looks important.

On other thread Freepers said it was German writing on the casing. Let's Freep Daschle and company - make sure they get the memo that Americans are not pleased they are playing politics with our lives.

Great shots Diogenesis.
You are our new "Life Magazine".

Hmm...the first word on the bottom right looks like "primarily", but that's all I can cipher out.
Whatever this is, it's at least 10-12 years old, pre-German unification. God only knows where it came from or what other countries it's passed through. Though I've got no love lost for Germany's relations with Iraq, chances are that this 16 kg piece of nuclear yumminess has had a long strange trip after being made in der Fatherland.

my first thought was heavy duty mercury switches... for bombs or missiles.
but damn, those look like containers for chemical powder of some kind or perhaps tubes used for aerosol generators to me...
Don't we use something like these for VX?
I know there's a freeper out there who knows... or has a good idea what THESE are being used for.... they sure as hell ain't rectal suppositories for constipated elephants!

Wow, a Fifth Column forms up to have its picture taken. That's relatively rare.

I am remembering a point form the Movie "Sum of all fears" that after they had some amount of uranium they were able to
pinpoint exactly where the uranium was produced. Are they right now attempting to find this same info on this "cylinder of death"? And if so how long will it take, and will we be told.

If not why not try to ping A_Turk to see if he will help?
