Hopefully the Rats follow his advice, it will guarantee a Republican Majority. He must be smoking a lot of crack if he actually believes all these lies he wrote in this article, but I guess that the Dems might believe it since as Florida showa their too stupid to figure out how to vote.

A future where the Boy Scouts are the good guys and the National Man-Boy Love Association are the bad guys is too scary to consider. Democrats, freaks, liberals and progressives must unite and insure a nation divided by race, over taxed, hindered by political correctness and devoid of any moral sense or direction.

Students of the English language can spot deliberate bias early, and spare themselves the wasted time of reading the whole article. When I was at Yale, one of my fellow students suspected a Professor of marking papers without reading them in full. So he submitted a paper with pages 25 and 26 glued together. Back it came with a grade and no mention of the glued pages.

He confronted the Professor with his evidence. The Professor replied, "You don't have to eat the whole apple to know that it's rotten." The same goes for this article. Notice that Johnson is described as "a protege of Tim Daschle," whereas Thune is described as being "hand-picked by George Bush."

"Protege" is a kind, thoughtful, respectful appelation. "Hand-picked" is derisive and dismissive. This is a writer who in the guise of providing an "analysis" is seeking to impose his bias on his readers. In newpaper and magazine writing, the devil is not in the details, the devil is in the adjectives.

Dont think that strategy worked too well for Republicans when Republican congress bailed on Dole and made same claim, that you dont want to have united government. As I recall, we lost seats in '96.

His vision of a Republican victory does sound pretty damn good though.

"What is surprising is that almost no one is talking about the election this way."

The author obviously doesn't lurk around here. Most freepers are so cranked about the thought of taking the Senate back that we can talk of little else. Let's see...pick up MO, MN, NJ, SD, and IA while holding CO and AK,....then get Miller and Breaux to switch,, that's 56-44. Hey--haw!!

I find it hard to argue with the points the author makes.

The difference is that I want these things to happen.

Well, yes, the article was written in a way designed to scare Dems into voting. But I liked it! Everything he said could happen if the GOP took over gov't is exactly what I WANT to happen.
And I don't know how many Independents he will attract with this article - the point of electing Dems is to stop Bush's agenda? And guarantee that the Fed'l gov't won't get anything done for at least 2 more years. I don't think that's a winning platform.

Oh, please, let the Dems follow this strategy!
