Just heard on the top of the hour news...that the little girl turned over to the foster family MAY not be her daughter!
SO where is the little beaten up Toogood girl?

Weekend mystery to work on.
If this is true here's a man who needs to get the update:
CHILD ABUSE
I am on record as having said: "In the matter of parental discipline, I'm a parents-rights extremist. All but the very worst parents are better for kids than institutional care. I would smack my kids in public if I thought it necessary, though it never has been." So where am I on the case of Madelyne Toogood, who walloped her four-year-old in an Indiana parking lot and was caught on videotape? In the same place, that's where. For God's sake let the kid go home. Mrs. Toogood slapped the child around, which is a thing some parents sometimes do. It ain't nice, but to read the newspapers & watch TV, you'd think the silly woman was Bluebeard reincarnated. The child suffered no harm not even a bruise, so far as anyone has been able to discover. I think Mrs. Toogood should be punished: a nasty fine, or some humiliating parole procedure. But to put the kid in care? To be molested by low-grade community-college-diploma "social workers" and have her poor little head filled with gibberish by crank anti-family "child psychiatrists"? Not on my dollar. I once worked with kids from these kinds of families, and I can tell you with no doubt at all, that poor tot cries herself to sleep every night, missing her mother. I'm not defending Mrs. Toogood, who I have already said I'd like to see punished: but she'd have to do a whole lot worse than that to the kid before I'd surrender that child to the tender mercies of institutional "child care." Let the poor little thing go home.

I've been speculating that all along. I'm impressed. I wouldn't have dreamed that in a million years.

I first mentioned it
here, but I don't think I was even the first on that thread to suppose it... when dealing with gypsies, always assume you are being lied to about everything. If they say the sun rises in the east, get up the next morning expecting in the west.

two points.....read Steven King's
King Of The Gypsys and are we sure
even the mom,it the right mom ?
the one in the video had blond hair
and a different chin......lol
To: cactusSharp
Don't they have videos of her face and the kid in the store? I am sure she was facing at least one of the cameras.
To: areafiftyone
I'm NOT convinced but in KING OF THE GYPSYS
talks about courts .Over 50 % of all court
cases are gypsys......In this book ,Steven King
was blindfolded and taken to NY.He was allowed to see
and write of the gypsys....Amazing,truely
amazing,these gypsies.

Ah, dare I say who we need to ping on this--perhaps they already have been, I'll read further down.
I hope this isn't true, but I've had my tinfoil hat suspicions from the get go.
BTW, I heard this today too, thanks for posting it. Wish we could find a news link somewhere, but if there is any credibility to this, I'm sure it will be along shortly.

Well, they may not have been thinking she would be taken into protective custody once she was turned over unharmed. I'm betting the IT thought this would just go away. Perhaps this is coming out now, if it is true, because the REAL mother of this other child is getting nervous she won't get her back. Wild speculation, but it would make sense if the plan is not going as they expected.

Its not right that a lot of people make a lot more money. All the men in my family do this. What can I add to this? Oh yeah, a real man doesn't do that.

What I don't get is how I could have lived all these years and never heard of an "Irish Traveler" and now all of a sudden they have a whole culture within our culture. Who ARE these people and why has nobody ever heard of them until now?
To: antivenom
Well, I don't know anything about it, so I can't comment.

All they need to do is DNA testing and they can find out. Take blood samples from mother, father and child. Its a simple thing. Irish Travelers are all related to each other because of inner marriages of the clan.

You gotta be kidding! She was WAILING away on that poor kid. And it sure didn't look like she was pulling her punches. I'm not so sure about that. If you look at the longer video clips, you'll notice the girl's legs sticking out after she is put in the seat. Her legs bob up and down like an impatient child might bounce their feet. The movement certainly doesn't look like that of a traumatized child to me. I'm not an expert and I may be wrong but really look at the motion of her hands and the way the child reacts. She certainly hit the child a lot but I'm not sure how hard it was.
Plus the Mom knew she was doing something wrong because she carefully looked around to see if anybody was watching.
Oh, here I agree. I'm not saying that what she did was right. I'm simply saying that I'm not sure that the hits were as hard as people are assuming that they were. I find a lack of marks believable.
To: cmsgop
Yes they are. Are they even sure it's the same woman? I know she could have died her hair in the few days between the video and turning herself in. The child could well be her daughter, but they could both not be the right people, who would then be sheltered by their own. But... if they are that good a cons.....

Sweet: There have many news programs over the years outlining the Travelers and their winter home somewhere in North or South Carolina. They may be best known for their scam against Disney World at one of their hotels for a staged rape. Turns out is was the brother of the rape victim that was dressed up in a Micky Mouse outfit and actually raped and beat her to make it look real. They were ratted on by a jeleous relative just before Disney was to settle out of court for mega millions.
