The Democrats care more about their re-election than having cogent and rational discussion on national security issues.

Kennedy being challenged by member of audience now. The questioner points out that if the UN did not side with the US in the Cuban Missile Crisis, would the Kennedy Admin have proceeded with blockade anyway?

Teddy says "I'm waiting for the final recommendation of the Security Council prior to my vote"

"it's (the attitude we're going with or without you) insulting to the United Nations..."

I see Fat TeddyK is weighing in on the Iraq issue. His remarks are explicitly aimed at the November elections. Fat Teddy knows, as does Daschle, Gephardt and Gore, that President Bush has been convincing the vast majority of American's, Saddam Hussein must go. This is a political issue and the Democrats are on the wrong side of this issue. We have screwed with Iraq for the last 12 years and the Saddam Hussein regime has told the world to f**k off. FatTeddy is attempting to energize the leftwing crowd of appeasers and pacifists, in the hopes of reversing public opinion. It won't work. Its obvious to even the casual observer, who pays attention only half the time, that Iraq is aligned with terrorist entities. Anyone who can't see this, is blind.

According to the Dem's current train of thought, we should have not fought the Germans until after we finished fighting the Japanese. Think about it, apparently they haven't.

The UN isn't going to make a move until we do. It's been proven over and over in the past. For all the bitching they're doing about going after Iran or Saudi Arabia first, where the hell do they think we'd attack them from? We have less than the required amount of troop strength in Afghanistan to do both jobs. What idiots. Iraq will serve a dual purpose. The immediate goal of taking out Saddam and as a base of operations should we need to go futher in feretting out the rest of the terrorists. He must think that if it's necessary to go after Saudi Arabia they'll let us use out bases in country to do the job.

It's like watching a '60's flashback whenever these fools find a camera and a microphone. Daschle is blocking a resolution already. Damn it Zell grow a set why don't you? Dump these bastards for the sake of the country. Your Case can easily be made and the voters of Georgia will understand your reasoning.

"The Democrats care more about their re-election than having cogent and rational discussion on national security issues."

Now, now. That's not fair. Teddy Kennedy couldn't have a "cogent and rational discussion on national security issues" even if he DIDN'T care about his re-election. ;-)

Well, well, well......I knew there would be another response to GORE's spouting LAST night (YES, again) when I saw this thread>>>>>>

Gore: Bush ignored signs of al-Qaida threat(HE IS STILL AT IT) (AP) | Sept. 26, 2002 | By Tom Raum

Gotta listen to Rush this morning.....another hilarious day at the Democrat Dump.....this is getting rather ridiculous.

These people have been enemies of the America our founding fathers envisioned for a long time; the facade that they have been hiding behind is just getting more transparent. Americans are facing very crucial elections this year and in 2004. We, if we want to maintain our identity as a free society, must vote these godless self-important parasites out of office.

Four star general Teddy Kennedy going on and on about how military action in Iraq could plunge the whole world into war and deliver a crippling blow to the world's economy.

Did the military genius and economist cheat his way through West Point as well as Harvard? Did his family have to buy him his commission as well as his law degree?

Of course, during his speech, it was also necessary for him to point out that it is unfair to question democrat patriotism. This is the same group of patriots who chanted, "Ho-Ho-Ho Chi Minh," all thru the seventies and late sixties, not to mention the "Che Lives" and Mao-Tse Tung posters they lovingly hung on their walls right through the eighties. They were devastated by the utter failure of the Soviet system of government, and its collapse, but their belief in socialism hasn't wavered one bit.

Sure thing, they're patriots . . . Not!

That murdering, drunken sonofabitch turns my stomach. No shady, corrupt, bribery-deal prosecutors may have made with his family in Mary Jo Kopechne's murder is binding on the American people; the case should be re-opened and he should be arrested for murder on the floor of the Senate and be dragged off in chains.

I made the same argument on another thread for the arrest of Grand Dragon Byrd for his almost certain involvement in the lynchings of blacks.

In fact, there is good reason to believe that any number of Senate dims (not to mention a few RINOs who the dims consequently hold by the nads) were and are criminals of every stripe, and they should be arrested forthwith on the floor of the Senate. THEN hold the vote on Iraq (remember that scene in Elizabeth, The Virgin Queen? -- these time-honored tactics work). Stop fooling around already; the country's survival, and the lives of millions, hang in the balance.

Sitrep OpFor: Charlie camp (DU) is in absolute swoon. Men (speaking loosely) are in awe, comparing fat Ted to JFK, saying history is being written today, yada yada. Females are all gooey and trembling at the sound of blubber Teddy's voice. All agree that a concerted, coordinated dem attack has begun, and the pubs are in full retreat, headed for the cliff edge. God these people are pathetic. I'll feel no sympathy for them after the November slaughter of the dems.

Hey Teddy "Drunk" Kennedy. It took 3,000 lives for your party to see the threat of Bin Laden. How many lives do you want before you see the threat of Saddam?

I have listened too and read the entire Kennedy speech and have broken it down to its elemental meaning.

Translation as follows:

Ted Kennedy: We shouldn't attack Saddam because we are not sure he has WMD's. Further, we should not attack Saddam if he does have WMDs because he might use them.

The Main Reason we should not Attack Saddam is because I will lose my cushy Committee assignment because the evil Republicans will win back the Senate and they will get Judges appointed without the Democrats to obstruct err I mean ahh advise the President on the process.

I had to turn Off FOX, I really can't stand Ted and his merry band of fools. The words cogent rational discussion do not belong in the same sentence with the word Democrat.

They don't give a rat's rear about the Amercan people.

When Teddy Kennedy says that Iraq "would be like the brutal footage in Saving Private Ryan" is he really saying that he was against US involvement in WWII and the D-Day liberation of a continent?

Isn't this statement a disgrace to WWII vets? Why would Kennedy define WWII as "Saving Private Ryan". It's only a movie after all.

If Kennedy wants to make this point, why doesn't he say Iraq "would be like the brutal punishment which our brave US (and Allied) soldiers endured in Normandy and elsewhere defending Freedom during World War II."

From the 1961 inaugural address of John F. Kennedy: "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty."

Fat Teddy from the Senate floor 2002:
"If we must take that course, our burden should be shared with allies and that is less likely if war becomes an immediate response..."

You could get a sick retarded jackass, name it "Kennedy" and put it on the ballot in Taxachusetts, and it would get elected.

Why doesn't this immoral, degenerate, inebriated old womanizing SOT have the decency to eclipse himslef from the public stage?

He certainly doesn't need the money and benefits paid for by the hardworking slubs of America to support him in his political sinecure.

The demonically challenged rats in high places are in full bloom. Hopefully the critical thinking challenged American people will see how wicked the Demonrat leadership has become, and give the boot to these bloated liars. If the American people would give congressional control back to the Republicans, President Bush would quickly liberate Iraq. Generous tax cuts for hard working Americans (the rich to Demonrats) to get the economy moving again. The ability to reverse forty years of liberal evil that has spread throughout the land in the form of massive porn, abortion, welfare, child molesting, drug addiction, homosexuality, etc. My question to America, are you tired of being dehumanized and demoralized slaves of the demonically challenged Demonrats?
