Teddy Kennedy is arguing against military intervention in Iraq. These words transcribed as he speaks... "As I said earlier, we still don't know the fate, location, or operational capacity of Osama Bin Ladin but we do know that Al Queda is still there and here. But, we don't know when where or how this will happen. CIA director has testified that Al Queda remains a serious threat to our country... even if the Taliban out of power.. Afghanistan is still fragile... our reconstruction effort is halting and inadequate...
Some operatives have faded into the woodwork...Karzai is still struggling... Pakistan is far from certain...
United Nations is far from convinced

Yes, the polls must be telling the dims things they don't want to hear, and they're all just panicking and jumping on the bandwagon.
To: Dog
I think they are trying to delay the vote in the Senate on the Iraq resolution and on the Homeland Defense. These delays are subverted US negotiating strength in NYC at the United Nations. People who profess that they are "moderates" or "non-partisan" can no longer profess this. Either they are with us or they are against us.
Kennedy, Gore, and Daschle have just relegated themselves to the ashheap of history (along with Feinstein and Boxer too).
Daniel Inouye should get some back bone and stand up and defend his nation TODAY.

The Dems can lose power sooner then anyone realizes .. I'm thinking Fox News needs to dicuss this topic a bit moreThat bears repeating!
To: texasbluebell

"According to the Dem's current train of thought, we should have not fought the Germans until after we finished fighting the Japanese. Think about it, apparently they haven't."
I have been saying the same thing for weeks!!! The Democrats insult the military with every breath-they are saying that the men and women of the United States Armed Services are incompetent and incapable. Just when you think the Democrats could not sink any lower-they trash the military, during a time of war.

Dear "Dog",
This Kennedy speech has got to be great food for you!

When Teddy Kennedy says that Iraq "would be like the brutal footage in Saving Private Ryan" is he really saying that he was against US involvement in WWII and the D-Day liberation of a continent?
Isn't this statement a disgrace to WWII vets? Why would Kennedy define WWII as "Saving Private Ryan". It's only a movie after all.
If Kennedy wants to make this point, why doesn't he say Iraq "would be like the brutal punishment which our brave US (and Allied) soldiers endured in Normandy and elsewhere defending Freedom during World War II."

The White House needs to continue with it's adult tone and tenor. It is we the people who must take a more aggressive approach against poor leadership.
I think the Democrat leadership must be concerned that their base has deserted them. And, Good riddance! They created a horrible situation for our nation and have nearly irreparably harmed our families.
Of course, many of them Dem's don't have families and children...because there's a bunch of gay/lesbian activists in their party anyway!

From the 1961 inaugural address of John F. Kennedy: "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty."
Fat Teddy from the Senate floor 2002:
"If we must take that course, our burden should be shared with allies and that is less likely if war becomes an immediate response..."

boy...if that wasn't so pathetic, it would be utterly hilarious... I hope Hugh Hewitt is in this thread!

" The "Private Ryan" reference is weird though. I doubt he or his speechwriter ever saw the movie; if they did I'd think the mistake would be obvious - The movie *starts* with the Normandy invasion. It doesn't make sense for the movie to *end* with it."
The last 15 minutes of Private Ryan are in present time, with an old vet, who took part in the invasion, returning to the cemetery at Normandy . He and his family walk among the crosses and Stars of David. It's a very peaceful and sad moment- did Kennedy actually say the last 15 minutes??? What a blunder!!! Private Ryan and HBO's Band of Brothers ( my personal favorite) are terrific war movies.

You could get a sick retarded jackass, name it "Kennedy" and put it on the ballot in Taxachusetts, and it would get elected.
Why doesn't this immoral, degenerate, inebriated old womanizing SOT have the decency to eclipse himslef from the public stage?
He certainly doesn't need the money and benefits paid for by the hardworking slubs of America to support him in his political sinecure.

An eclipse won't happen unless the moon goes in FRONT of the sun. I doubt there are many who can consider Kennedy's speech this morning as a point of light. It's more like a black hole.

They just played the JFK clip on Rush... the Left is now officially anti-JFK.

Someone should tell Hedgecock to stop reading Free Republic! (LOL)... great to have him following our thread.

" Sitrep OpFor: Charlie camp (DU) is in absolute swoon. Men (speaking loosely) are in awe, comparing fat Ted to JFK, saying history is being written today, yada yada. Females are all gooey and trembling at the sound of blubber Teddy's voice."
Do you remember the character "Pat" from SNL? No one could tell, if Pat was a man or woman. That's how I envision the inhabitants of the DU.

The demonically challenged rats in high places are in full bloom. Hopefully the critical thinking challenged American people will see how wicked the Demonrat leadership has become, and give the boot to these bloated liars. If the American people would give congressional control back to the Republicans, President Bush would quickly liberate Iraq. Generous tax cuts for hard working Americans (the rich to Demonrats) to get the economy moving again. The ability to reverse forty years of liberal evil that has spread throughout the land in the form of massive porn, abortion, welfare, child molesting, drug addiction, homosexuality, etc. My question to America, are you tired of being dehumanized and demoralized slaves of the demonically challenged Demonrats?

Was this picture taken on Cape Cod this summer, along with all the other beached whales?
