HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- A federal judge sentenced a Huntersville woman to six months in federal prison for faking a hate crime.[snip]
The judge called the crime totally repulsive during Tuesdays sentencing.
In addition to the prison sentence, Sealey was sentenced to two years probation and $5,825 in fines. Part of the money will go to her two insurances companies and the rest to the Crime Victims Fund of Huntersville.
[snip]
She faced up to 45 years in prison and more than $2 million in fines.
If the judge was so "repulsed" why in the world did he let her off so easy?!!!
I would bet that a lot could "accidentally" happen to her in prison in 1/2 year, though.
