Intangible things will now have the protection of the full force of the federal government. We're talking about mud puddles here! To protect them, a conditional building / use permit will have to first locate, survey, and study each depression in the landscape.

On and on this is insane. The Environmental wackos are taking over this entire country, and it is like a spectator sport, people just sit on the side lines and boo and cheer, when does it stop

Un freaking believable. At first I thought this was joke, but I guess the joke is on us.

What's next, endangered paramecium? The "wetlands" designations were bad enough, but protecting mud puddles?

Beam me up...

I can't legally clear a wild blackberry patch in the back field…protected 'wet lands', don'tcha know… The absurdity is becoming the normal.

the threatened vernal pool fairy shrimp

These freaks exist in some backward-assed wonderland, where strange creatures that lurk in mud puddles destroy unsuspecting people's lives.

But if we fail to protect mud puddles only the wealthy (those who can afford to order them from the back of comic books) will have "Space monkeys". Wouldn't that be tagic!?

Next thing you know, we'll stop protecting the Elder Berry Beetle.

No, I'm not making this up...I don't have nearly enough imagination to come up with nonsense like this.

I have taped a recent Discovery Channel program on the "fairy shrimp". You can boil these eggs for 10 minutes and not kill them. They survive ANYWHERE. AAABEST, do you recall way back when, "Sea monkeys" that all us kids used to buy from magazines....they are Fairy Shrimp. This gets the all time "give me a break" award and they announced today they are trying to shut down more land in So. Oregon because of them. I'm out of this state as fast as I can go.
Know anyone who wants to buy 2 nice acres, irrigated with a great shop???

I don't know how anyone can kill fairy shrimp. They are everywhere, in every puddle that has mud in the bottom. I think the fairies in the Fish and Wildlife Service are getting to much money to research endangered species.

Just when I thought I've heard everything, we're taking 1.7 million acres for f***ing sea-monkies. What's worse is nobody cares to do a thing about it.

After a while you get overdosed with outrage on this stuff. I just spend my time walking around with my mouth hanging open.
