Intangible things will now have the protection of the full force of the federal government. We're talking about mud puddles here! To protect them, a conditional building / use permit will have to first locate, survey, and study each depression in the landscape.

On and on this is insane. The Environmental wackos are taking over this entire country, and it is like a spectator sport, people just sit on the side lines and boo and cheer, when does it stop

Un freaking believable. At first I thought this was joke, but I guess the joke is on us.
What's next, endangered paramecium? The "wetlands" designations were bad enough, but protecting mud puddles?

But if we fail to protect mud puddles only the wealthy (those who can afford to order them from the back of comic books) will have "Space monkeys". Wouldn't that be tagic!?
Next thing you know, we'll stop protecting the Elder Berry Beetle.

Oh yes, lets legislate protection for the mosquito breeding west nile virus spreading wetlands. These same people arguing to save mud puddles will be soon filing lawsuits to prevent spraying to kill mosquitos to prevent the spread of the virus. You know, everything that goes on today would have made a great Twilight Zone episod back in the 60's.
