Florida District 2 McGurk for Congress!!!!

For those of you living in Florida's US Congressional District #2, we have an important race going on. Allen Boyd is a longtime incumbent and we have a serious challenger, Tom McGurk. He is 27 year veteran of the US Air Force and Vietnam veteran. He won the Legion of Merit, the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Purple Heart.
In this time of close margins in the congress, we need every seat we can get. McGurk is an underdog. But there are more Conservative voters in District 2 than there have been in times past. We need to make every effort we can on Mr McGurk's behalf.

I checked out the web site and couldn't find the 2nd Amendment addressed in the issues. Did I miss it?

I will email him and ask. I am certain he will favor 2nd Amendment rights. I mean, really, a man with his record, it would be astounding if it were otherwise. I'll ask.

In that district, he should know a strong pro-2nd Amendment position shouldn't be so hard to find on his web site. I have difficulty believing this is the first time he's been asked the question.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this. I asked him myself personally. Tom McGurk is a supporter of 2nd Amendment Liberties and will fight for them. He's not going to slap any gun control on you.

I don't live in his district so in my case it doesn't matter but he should make sure his web site makes that clear. Incidentally, Unified Sportsmen of Florida says he failed to respond to their questionnaire and gave his opponent Allen Boyd, a PRO-GUN rating. So, to some degree, McGurk's already blown it.

For what it's worth, anybody in that district (R, D or anything else) had either better be obviously Pro-Gun or should save himself the filing fee.
