Hannity's decided to dip in and dip out of the dips speech....
To: twyn1
Just compare this to President Bush's straight talk! Unreal!
To: twyn1
Am I hearing a little more "Southern Drawl" every once in awhile--is that a new "style" ??? I noticed that the other day, when he was down in Florida chatting up Reno. The guy has decided to reinvent himself agin, although I'm not sure exactly as what. I think he's basically self-destructing before our eyes. It's amazing to behold.
To: Frapster
stupid phone call interrupted me... resuming.
In 1991 there was a resolution that had been passed by the UN. It was easier to build a coalition and get a resolution in 1991 because Iraq had invaded Kuwait.
This year, by contrast, many of our allies are openly opposed. And those who do support us have conditioned their support on the new UN resolution.
The 1991 coalition picked up the significant cost of the war. This time we will have to shoulder the burden of cost on our own. Does he have an original thought here?
He is now asserting that GWB is politically motivated because GWB is trying to make this happen before the elections.
To: Wait4Truth
"Saddam has not invaded anyone so we have no right to attack him, he says. He sounds totally stupid in today's world!"
Presumably he forgot those hundreds of bombings on Iraq ordered between 1992 - 2000?

"in 1991 G HW Bush waited till after the elction for a vote on use of force"Gore implying there are politics involved.
To: Austin Willard Wright
Have you had word from the Kurds that they plan to protect Al-Qaeda after Saddam falls? Let me know if you have.
To: finnman69
"I felt betrayed by Bush's hasty retreat form Iraq in 1991"I feel betrayed by Clinton-Gore incompetence and weak-kneed inaction in the face of the multiple provocations from al-Qaeda during their 8 years in power.
Why do democrats insist on being given the green light from the UN to defend the national interests of the United States? Why do they feel good only when committing American arms in support of other nation's and organization's interests? Why is Gore willing to wait for another terrorist attack (this time using biological or nuclear weapons) at worst, or for Iraq to be in position to blackmail, with WMD, the United States out of defending it's allies or interests in the region?
To complete the pose, all Al needs is an umbrella. Instant Chamberlain.
To: noexcuses
okay--I am totally lost now...he really is bad...does he have a point ? Is anybody getting it...other than "we need a multi-lateral consensus"
Oh German-American relationship ...reprehensible comment...is he defending Bush ? (in a backhanded way)

Naw, I only wish. But I do wonder if this is Gore on his own, or McCauliflower encouraging Gore to political suicide himself.
(I know, suicide isn't a verb, but it just flowed well.)
To: mombonn
You know, no one broadcasts my statement on Iraq and I'm a private citizen too.
AlBore is so bad even MSNBC is taking a commercial break.

Bill Press said that it was a powerful speech... Give me a break.
They broke for commercials if I were Al, I'd be embarrased.
To: Diddle E. Squat
MSNBC left him. Bill Press calls it a "powerful speech" in opposition to President Bush! LOL!
To: Shermy
Is Scott Ritter gonna be his running mate?
To: Frapster
gah! these phones.
They keep saying this a 'strong' speech - taking a quick break from the speech.
There's nothing new in this speech. It sounds to me that they've listened to every news broadcast since Iraq started heating up and are regurgitating everything that sounds plausible. Talk about a poll approach to government.
To: finnman69
And in 1998, Bill Clinton whipped up a Congressional resolution demanding force to remove Saddam from power to protect his sorry butt from impeachment. But there was no politics involved in that. That was a righteous cause... spare me!
