SUBWAY VIGILANTE STARS IN INSTRUCTIONAL THRILLER (Bernhard Goetz gets film work)

That's right...an "instructional thriller." Bernhard Goetz, the infamous Subway Vigilante, who shot and killed(sic) four black teenagers in 1984 because he thought they were going to mug him, will star in the indie film, "Every Move You Make."

"Every Move You Make" concerns Casey, a young woman who is hounded by a perverted stalker who knows everything she does. Goetz plays a self-defense instructor on a videotape that Casey rents when she feels that her life is in danger. I guess it was either that or "Death Wish," right?

"Basically, the film is an instructional thriller." explains Glenn Andreiev, the film's director and screenwriter. "I want the audience to be in suspense, and learn something at the same time."

"My rehearsal with him was very smooth. For somebody new to acting and film, Mr. Goetz handles it all like a trained actor," remarks Andreiev.

"In our initial meeting with him, Mr. Goetz comes across as somebody who likes to teach. He's informative on many subjects," commented Paul Kanter, the film's co-producer. "It was only natural to cast him in this part."

Just make sure you keep your hands out of your pockets when around the guy, right?

"Every Move You Make" is currently being shot in New York.

"Subway Vigilante"

IMHO, this is gross misnomer - he was Subway Self-Defender.

All the recipient of Bernard Goet'z hot lead who could still walk, were later arrested for other violent crimes. In fact they were arresteste for these crimes prior to Goetz being tried for shooting them.

If New York had a concealed carry law, I doubt these punks would have ever bothered Bernard Goetz.

I also met Geotz in 2000. We were at a parade freeping Hillary and he walked over to me to see the pins we were handing out. It was the HILLARY NO pin, hillary's mug with a slash through it, ....anyway he told me they were tacky and I should be able to find something better to hand out...LOL..I laughed....

How about "subway vEgilante? Yes, he;s a vegetarian activist now, often appears wearing a giant Peapod costume (to promote the VivaVegie organization), and even ran for mayor, and may be planning to again, to promote a choice of vegetarian menus in city schools, jails, and hospitals. He ran on the Fusion Ticket in 2001, was courting the Libertarian party for the 2005 ticket (he may have quit, though), and want to rebuild thw twin towers, rather than the lone freedom tower.

Odd thread to bubble up, almost like backwash.

I've stumbled on such "ancient" posts myself. Just funny to see one gain life again.

Yes, i guess so. Did you know he's going to try to run for mayor again. And He's toned down his platform! He no longer calls for a sex district himself, and even has deleted a letter from a guy who wanted to make ground zero into a sex district because it was the "most people-friendly" idea he could think of. The return of the "conservative's sweetheart"? Well, when he ran before, he really only wanted to hand the city over to giuliani )yuk!

This is no longer an old thread, as I can announce that Goetz is filming (shooting?)another feature, also directed by Andreiev, in which he portrays a nutritional consultant-to vampires! Also, according to an article in NY Newsday, he fires a gun in this film, and complained about the size of the prop gun provided for him(it wasn't big enough!) The title for the film is "Silver Night". No, I'm not making this up!!!

For all of his eccentricities, Bernie Goetz remains a hero of mine. I admired him as a 9 year old and still respect what he did to this day.

I preferred the Hillary/Yankees cut-outs attached to popsicle sticks, myself.

By the way, WHERE'S THE SQUIRRELS???

A Bernie Goetz pic with no squirrels.

Lame.

Yes; as far as I know, the new film will not be featuring any squirrels. But there are some cool squirrel pics on the Bernie for mayor site; I tried to create a subway gun squirrel, but am apparently not adept enough at photo editing yet...with my (slightly) early Christmas present, a Motorola cellphone/camera, this may change...or maybe one of YOU guys knows enough about editing to do one. If you have any experience, why not try? If it's halfway decent, I bet Bernie would consider putting it up.
