The kid was sitting up in the seat and it looked like her legs were bouncing up and down like little kids kick when they are happy.

You laugh when you get tickled, but do you really enjoy it? Think about it. How would a four-year-old know how to react? Young children are very innocent. There's no way that incident was pleasurable. The kid had just been pummled to the floor, then thrown into a carseat (legs bouncing) now Mom grabs the kid and shakes her (violently)and throws a few more punches for good measure.

A swat on the butt will handle an unruly child. My children survived many of them and you probably did too. But this was a beating. I think the police are right to be looking for this child particularly for the head shaking. You can kill a kid or maim them for life with brain injuries from such a thing. Mom ought to get a taste of her own medicine from someone 5X her size.

I'm simply curious. To all those on here who are angry and willing to beat up this woman for what she did: If you saw this happening in front of you, in a store, or wherever, and not on tape, what would you do?

I'm just curious to know what the typical person would do if confronted with this for real, instead of having the security and relative anonymity of the Internet to shield you from the reprocussions of, say, suggesting this woman be beaten up herself. In other words, would anyone here really beat up on the woman, if confronted with this situation in real life?

This is the only thing I'll correct. I've seen the whole tape and you can see the child climbing into the seat herself, but it's very quick and a second later, the mother hits her again, puts the holder thing in place, and then procudes to do the most viscious part of it all and punch at what appears to be her face or head. Just thought it should be noted that the child did indeed appear to climb in the seat herself, but it's not shown in the edited version of the clip.
