UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- Iraq is free of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons, the country's foreign minister told the United Nations in a speech Thursday that included excerpts of a letter from Saddam Hussein.
``Our country is ready to receive any scientific experts, accompanied by politicians you choose to represent any one of your countries, to tell us which places and scientific installations they would wish to see,'' Naji Sabri said, quoting the Iraqi president.
``I herby declare before you that Iraq is clear of all nuclear, chemical and biological weapons,'' Sabir said, further quoting Saddam.
The speech heavily criticized the United States and President Bush for trying to link Iraq in some way to the tragedy of Sept. 11.
The Iraqi president charged that ``the American propaganda machine, along with official statements of lies, distortion and falsehood'' was being used for ``inciting the American public against Iraq, and pushing them to accept the U.S. administration's schemes of aggression as a fait accompli.''

Iraq joins Berkeley, San Francisco, and Cambridge in declaring itself a "nuclear-free zone."

Whew... I'm glad they cleared that one up... I was almost nervous we wouldn't recieve an oral guarantee from Iraqi leaders. An Arab's word is his bond... it's like swearing on your grandmother's grave;^}

An Arab's word is his bond That's actually the best joke of the day so far. Thanks for trying to lighten our spirits with a little levity.

Slightly off topic but:
Berkeley, San Francisco, and Cambridge in declaring itself a "nuclear-free zone."
I wonder what portion of the electricity used in these places is generated in nuclear power plants.
I'm sure that doesn't count in their twisted minds, like animal rights whackos who get caught wearing leather belts and shoes.

The buildings and institutions are clear of Weapons of Mass Murder. The WMM's are all buried in places where we'll never find them, for future use.

OK, that's good enough for me - now let's get back to slammin' the sub-human Zionists who are mercilesslly oppressing the peace-loving Palestinian people...
(sarcasm, in case you have to ask...)

Doesn't the Koran (not "Q'uran," or whatever) authorize/encourage Muslims to deceive infidels?
