And as another rule, rich people are harder to bribe than poor people.

Robert Rubin and his pals are said to have made $10 billion on the Mexican bailout alone. But of course rich Democrats never count when you're stirring up class hatreds.

"Wasn't this the case with Clinton's cabinet as well?"

What was Clinton's Sec. of Tres., Mr. Rubin, worth?
My Senator, H. Kohl, WI-Dem. is worth 300+ million.

People in America are allowed to be rich if they earn or inherit it legally. Only the Democrat Party makes bad guys out of other rich folks.

So. What's the point? How high is up? Where's the line where someone has "too much money?" Why not wealth? What is wealth? I'm waiting for a Democrat to pass a bill to limit income. Well, actually they're doing that as they tax the snot out of people who work hard, and earn their income.

I forgot to mention that theHildbeast got $8,000,000 for a book she hasn't written yet. And Slick has a $12,000,000 cooking for his book deal. The ironic part is these are their "memoirs" but they can't remember shit when a judge asks them a question!

Unless I read the article too quickly- Condi Rice is not a millionaire.

Condi isn't in the Cabinet. The list is of Cabinet members.

The Class Warfare these Liberals engage in is typical Socialist tactics. Those miserable bastards at the Wash. Post are just plain desperate for something to smear the President with.

Typically the pay in their field is almost poverty level because they don't know anything.

Clinton lived at the public trough his whole life. His wife rode his public job tails to be a rain-maker/bag-man for a law firm gaining her income from sweeping up in the wake of his corruption.

I'll take a few public functionaries that don't need to rob and accept bribes.

Shame this dimwit didn't also mention who the richest Senators are and their party affiliation.

Edsall apparently believes that only the homeless and journalists are qualified for cabinent posts. (A homeless journalist would, naturally, count as a twofer.)

...are in the $10 million-plus range, while another third are in the $1 million to $5 million range.

Good for them! Personally I don't want the burdens and responsibilities of great wealth. I also do not want to take it away from others!

And I hate it when other people try to. Inequality is a fact of life.

Does this mean the author of this fine piece of journalism is suggesting that Bush should have hired stupid, unsuccessful people to serve under him????? Another attempt to divide the classes of the masses.

Just sent an e-mail to Mr.Edsal. I asked him if it would be a good thing to come into an appointed Government position being "rich" as opposed to coming into an appointed position "poor" and leaving the Government "rich". I suggested to him that that might be a more interesting story line.
