Afghanistan: Pakistani talibans freed
by Yann Laurent (English Translation by DrKnows)
They do not represent a threat any more for Afghanistan. It is basically the opinion of the Afghan government, that sent back home last week several dozens talibans prisoners native of Pakistan. The Pakistani authorities knew how to benefit from the visit to Islamabad, at the end of August, of Afghan Foreign Secretary, Abdullah Abdullah. They declare henceforth loud and clear that they wait for the liberation of all 800 held nationals.
Put in position of weakness by the discovery of a mass grave of talibans died suffocated in containers, the country is not able any more to stand up to his neighbour. It asks only Pakistan "to watch these individuals who have some blood on hands". Americans are worried. They fear that these men return to weapons.

We could , if we chose too , have killed them or taken them into American custody. We chose not too because it was too politically difficult.
Politicians almost always choose the path of least resistence. That's why Sadam is still in power.

We should have let our allies execute them once they were properly tourchered for any info they might have had.
Instead we let them go to kill Americans in the future.
