Is anyone surprised by this? Dems would rather elect crooks than Republicans. We've known that for years.

I dunno, i might rather vote on crooks than democrats. depends on how crooked the crook and depends on how critical the crook is to the party control. I totally understand these folks... there are things a lot more important than one man's petty crookedness.

He should have been indicted and expelled from the Senate. Instead he will probably be back in January. What a disgrace. And they just go along with it to preserve Roe Vs. Wade, the biggest priority of Democrats these days? It sure seems that way. Anyone really believe Republicans will re-gain control the Senate in 2003? Look at the voter fraud in Florida. It will likely happen everywhere in the many close races, that is my greatest fear now. What can we do to stop it??

Disgusting - NYSlime campaigning for Torch. Funny how they found so many people deeply comcerned about the loss of the senate.

The Slime can find no DemonRat that is not far superior to any Republican.

No bias here, move along now.

"I have struggles with it," said David Szmak, a psychologist who said he nonetheless planned to vote for Mr. Torricelli. He said that in addition to the threat of war, "I'm concerned about the role of social services, about shortchanging our poor while rewriting the tax laws" to favor the wealthy.

Mr. Szmak, of course, completely misses the fact that his vote for Torricelli - a man who believes that laws don't apply to him - sets a dangerous precedent. He's helping to put Torricelli in a position to be able to cheat EVERYONE, no matter what their social standing.

And let's keep in mind, this is an "intelligent" democratic voter. Most of 'em just look for the "D" and push the button. It's this combination, my friends, that will send Torricelli back to the US Senate.

What strikes me is that the Democrats can say this in every state if they wanted to. Tim Johnson could say this in South Dakota. It doesn't have to be limited to people with ethical lapses or criminal activity.

The Democrats could use this as a last-ditch, desperation play at a unifying national theme. It would be a pathetic theme, but it could work. We all saw the effect that the voters of Florida had in 2000. Why wouldn't the voters of South Dakota or New Jersey think they could do the same thing and tip the scale in their favor, even if it means voting in a scoundrel? If they all do it, then who knows?

But that's the problem- party loyalty vs. voting for the lesser of two evils... it's what keeps Congress corrupt.

Two points:
1. If any of these people believe Torricelli was not a slime bucket, his comment that its either me or the Reps ought to prove differently.
2. The article interviews a teacher, a reverend and a "doctor" in (I would guess) an attempt to lend credibility to the argument. These are suppose to be well educated, upstanding members of their community and yet they have no problem blindly following a corrupt party in its desperate attempt to remain in power.

Why would a baby-murderer have any compunction about voting for a crook anyway? The expressions of angst are phony, spin for the consumption of various audiences as usual. Of course they know they will vote for the crook in the end, as usual!

the Senate Ethics Committee's rebuke of Senator Robert G. Torricelli for improperly accepting gifts — and says "that initial impression is hard to get over." He is still deciding whether to vote for Mr. Torricelli on Nov. 5.

This is the ugly, contorted face of the Dems. Torricelli is a criminal for all intents and purposes and here is this numbnut dembuttlick deciding wether or not to vote for him?

What a bunch of sorry, sick, twisted, scumbags you Dems have become.

Go fawn over your lip biting pervert!

Kind of tells you a lot about the morality of these people, doesn't it? Well, I guess scum deserves nothing better to represent them then scum. Hope they realize that if they do manage to send him back to the senate, he'll be totally powerless and NJ will get nothing.

Methinks you are right. Vote fraud and liberal socialist activist judges are the largest part of the DemocRAT plan to steal this Nation and it's wealth. Governance by the worthless and unworthy, it's the American way.
