If there was a "threat" so devastating as a nuclear explosion so close to NYC this week, I'm sure they would not have let the President go yesterday. Pride or not, they would have found another way to involve the President in the 9/11 ceremonies.

Would you have ever bet on 19 deranged nuts flying loaded passenger planes into skyscrappers?

See post #104, Dog. Third paragraph, I think. Who around here knows the diff between neutron detectors and geiger counters?

Who exactly would we be shooting at?I would start at the nations that started with the letter 'A' and end with nations that started with the letter 'Z'.

I guess you didn't have Crystal Pepsi Ermmm, I stand corrected. That just goes to show you that the human body doesn't "remember" pain.

I'm with Laz, when do we start? A for Afghanistan, because we can, Z for Zimbabwe, just because.

I think if the public is informed of what a dirty bomb is, they'd be plenty concerned. A bit of plutomiun up the nose, and death is a lot more painful than from being vaporized. If they have enough plutonium to scatter a significant amount of radiation they will not put it in a dirty bomb. It would be used to make the real thing instead.
A dirty bomb is much more likely to be a conventional bomb cased with readily available radioactive materials (like medical supplies, etc...). As such, the actual radiation problem is likely to be minor. The panic factor could be high, however.

Anybody else think it would be a good idea to tow this boat right up the east river and park it in front of the UN until they vote to take Saddam out? Just wondering.
To: Lazamataz
"I have signed legislation outlawing the rest of the world, the bombing begins in 5 minutes." President Lazamataz, just before his weekly radio address.
"Whatsamatta, can't you people take a f***ing joke?" President Lazamataz, just after the press hyperventilates over the above remark.

Man, I hope they are looking/scanning/examining every damn ship approaching this country. I mean *every* ship.....

What say you, tow it up the East river to the UN to inspect it? (see who runs out the fastest & bust them for prior knowledge...)

NEST teams were downtown nyc on 9/11/01 too. They're not usually called out unless it's serious. Did they discover any radioactivity?
