He's back tracking.....says they have the "capability" but that Bush has jumped to conclusion. Says Bush does not have the proof. How in hell does HE know what Bush knows? He's been out of the loop since '98.

Is this guy saying only HE knows the real truth?
Hmmm...I think he posts here at FR.
To: Howlin
Yeah, so do I but if they ask that he'll just storm off camera
To: Dog
He is looking really, REALLY bad. This is a bad interview for this man.

"Daschle is just plain stupid. Anybody have thoughts?" Setting aside my strong personal feelings about Daschle, I interprete his remarks this morning as a non-response, a placeholder. He wants to look at the polls and talk to his leadership before doing anything. If the public rallies as I think and the Prsident and many Senators, including McCain, start demanding a vote, Daschle will probably start wearing an American flag tie and claiming Iraq was his idea all along.
BTW, it would not surprise me if Bush and Blair have already laid the groundwork for some kind of a compromise Security Council resolution that would be a nonauthorization authorization, something like Saddam has one month to comply with all U.N. resolutions and if not any U.N. member would be in its rights to enforce same in its self defense, or some such gobbledygook. If so, the Dims will line up behind Bush claiming U.N. cover. Just a thought.

He's nervous and scared. He took over $400,000 from Saddam...he's a marked man.

Richard Butler said on TV that either Ritter lied in '98 or he is lying now.

He's been out of the loop since '98. Bush very helpfully pointed out that no inspectors had been there since '98. Hey Scotty: that was directed at your lying rear end.

While you listen to the usual parade of former pols, current Senators, pundits, experts and leftists criticizing and undermining the President, just remember these wise words:
Secretary of State Madeleine Albright wasted no time denouncing Senator Jesse Helms' address to the UN. Using an opportunity to meet with the UN Security Council, Secretary Albright sought to smooth ruffled feathers among her former colleagues. "Let me be clear," she said. "Only the president and the executive branch can speak for the United States." - Secretary of State Madeline Albright, Jan. 2000 http://www.enterstageright.com/archive/articles/0200helms.htm |

Okay, so Ritter is criticizing Bush for holding Iraq responsible for its actions--Is that a Freudian slip hinting at Ritter's own conscience?

"Not with 6-8 weeks of massive air attack first (primarily)....."I still think we need more time to get 30,000 troops in position. Also, I don't see our weapons stockpiled enough yet. That past piece of crap person in the WH really hurt our military.
So, I'm sticking with my guess of Jan or Feb. Just a guess, you could be right too.
To: Howlin
He knows the truth cause Saddam told him. < /sarcasm off>
To: AmericanInTokyo
That is a scary thought

Man, he's parsing all over the place.
I believe this guy has a real problem; he knows the FBI is still investigating him and he knows everybody knows he applied for a job at the CIA and was rejected, partly because he failed a lie detector test. He's vengeful.
