He's back tracking.....says they have the "capability" but that Bush has jumped to conclusion. Says Bush does not have the proof. How in hell does HE know what Bush knows? He's been out of the loop since '98.

"Daschle is just plain stupid. Anybody have thoughts?" Setting aside my strong personal feelings about Daschle, I interprete his remarks this morning as a non-response, a placeholder. He wants to look at the polls and talk to his leadership before doing anything. If the public rallies as I think and the Prsident and many Senators, including McCain, start demanding a vote, Daschle will probably start wearing an American flag tie and claiming Iraq was his idea all along.

BTW, it would not surprise me if Bush and Blair have already laid the groundwork for some kind of a compromise Security Council resolution that would be a nonauthorization authorization, something like Saddam has one month to comply with all U.N. resolutions and if not any U.N. member would be in its rights to enforce same in its self defense, or some such gobbledygook. If so, the Dims will line up behind Bush claiming U.N. cover. Just a thought.

I still think we need more time to get 30,000 troops in position. Also, I don't see our weapons stockpiled enough yet. That past piece of crap person in the WH really hurt our military.

So, I'm sticking with my guess of Jan or Feb. Just a guess, you could be right too.

I believe this guy has a real problem; he knows the FBI is still investigating him and he knows everybody knows he applied for a job at the CIA and was rejected, partly because he failed a lie detector test. He's vengeful.
