KSFO sponsered the unfurling of the largest United States Flag today in Alameda.
There were over a thousand patriots here and it took over a thousand to keep the flag flying for over an hour. After this grate Patriotic Event I ventured over to San Francisco and encountered the communist terrorist supporters.

Shore hate to see that thing tangle with an Angel. I would imagine there's gonna be some pretty restricted airspace.

My guess is that we would have to tether being so close to such a large body of water.
It is a spectacular sight even on the ground.

I'll show all of this to victim of circumstance in the morning.
If we don't make it to CA this year, it does look like we will be in Missouri for Veteran's Day...

What ever works, just let me know what I can do to make this happen...it would be fantastic.
SF is quite windy lots of the time, but teathering would work.
There are lots of venues in the Sonoma/Napa area also, lots of Balloon action in the Wine Country...also we could do some tasting...LOL

YIKES! I was there today! Syncro, was that you in the Steve Austin T-shirt? If so, I'm a zoo-head! That's what I get for getting five hours of sleep!
I was in the stars & stripes Converse hi-tops, walking around with a camera reflector.
What an AWESOME day! BTW, Ch 5 did the feature at the end (they sent a copter from Sussman's own station last) ... pretty good coverage EXCEPT they said it was "sponsored by a Bay Area radio station." Bias, anyone?

KSFO honored the Firemen and Policemen that were there today, many of them such as this man and his children passed over the stage and gave their names.
Our thanks go out to them and to our armed forces too.

Roger that! I talked to a bunch of firemen and a few policemen - they were seriously into this - what a wonderful, wonderful thing to see. A more un-PC bunch I haven't seen since our last Freeper gig. And what a group of gentlemen.

Thanks, stay tuned, we went into enemy territory later...
And ran into some clueless people like this, a spaced out woman, a guy inspecting his fingernails, and another guy that probably didn't even know what his sign said...LOL

Syncro, I looked right at you! I only fired on one cylinder today. I had the baseball/flag Tshirt on with my tan Aluminum Overcast ballcap. So sorry ... I KNEW you looked familiar!!! Cheese and rice!
We got some good videotape of the whole event - the airlines passing by were awesome. The last one did a very gentle waggle of its wings to salute the flag. Wish I could have heard the PA announcements.
More about the firemen: they were so excited, scrambling up and down the aerial ladder to take their own pictures. It was truly awesome.
