Did anyone happen to see the segment of 'America Remembers' featuring James Zogby and John McCain between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m.? If so, I can imagine you are as FURIOUS as I am right at the moment! Brokaw was speaking with a gentleman who had lost in wife in the World Trade Center holocaust last September 11th. He was angry with the "silence = consent" attitude of the Muslim community toward the murder of over 3,000 Amercans at this time last year. He cited a poll indicating that "90% of Muslims blame America" for creating the international climate of tension that led to this act of terror. He further expressed his outrage over reports that Palestinians/Muslims/Arabs had been dancing in the streets and handing out candy in celebration of what Osama and his depraved minions had carried out in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania. In addition, he mentioned that he had friends who had witnessed this in Patterson, New Jersey; among other locations. Having seen the pictures myself, I flew into a rage when I heard James Zogby (representing the Arab-American Institute) debunk these stories as "urban legends". He told the studio audience that these reports were NOT TRUE! Mr. Zogby, you are a lying b*stard, and you know it. To imply that this recent widower is laboring under the delusion of an "urban legend" when those of us who have seen actual photos of these celebrations is an unspeakable outrage. Did anyone else see this? Unbelievable!

FACT: On September 11 residents of the arab community at Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, New York danced in the streets in celebration of the attacks.
FACT: On September 11 residents of the "palestinian" community at 65th street and 5th Avenue in Brooklyn, New York danced in the streets in celebration of the attacks.
FACT: Some pictures of these "celebrations" were taken and dissapeared from circulation soon thereafter. Someone should make it a project to dig these pictures up.
Next year Zogby will be claiming that the attack on the WTC is an "urban legend".
Of course you remember her. She was shown eight-sextillion times on this forum alone.
Almost, but not quite, as many times as the Rodney King beating was shown to the world to demonstrate what a racist, brutal country the United States of America is.
Obviously, if Arab Americans has celebrated openly by burning flags, we would have heard about their early demise. But there was dancing in the streets of Manhattan. My son saw it.
I suspect, however, that the majority of immigrants came here to escape this madness.
Then why didn't Mr. Zogby ALLOW for that possibility? His statement was that reports of Palestinians/Arabs celebrating the WTC/Pentagon holocaust were NOT TRUE (regardless of wherever they might have occurred).
Rolnik admitted placing a telephone call to Dr. Zogby in Washington on the morning of September 12, 2001, and leaving a voice mail message in which he threatened to kill Dr. Zogby and his children because of Dr. Zogby's role in encouraging others to participate in the political process and the enjoyment of federal benefits without regard to race, color, religion or national origin.You are on record here as one sick-puppy fanatic, but I admit you CONTINUALLY top yourself every time you post.

Read back over the thread. Someone posted what they THINK Zogby said, and IMMEDIATELY everyone jumped to the most OUTRAGEOUS conclusions, until now we think we're talking about Zogby saying that no ARABS celebrated 9/11 (which is a patently ridiculous statement; since Arabs of foreign origin perpetrated the attacks, OF COURSE THEY SUPPORTED THEM).
I think a LOT of people here have shown the absolute WORST characteristics of FR in this regard.
We constantly are aghast when the Left, and particularly the Leftist media, ignores the truth and stretches what they do report to cast conservatives in a bad light.
Well, that's exactly what most of the dopes here on this thread are doing with respect to John Zogby.
dennisw takes the prize, of course, for saying Zogby's "evil" for daring to have a Jewish man arrested for threatening Zogby and his family with death (what WAS Zogby thinking, after all?)
But everyone here is piling on, without EVEN bothering to discern the facts.
Not unusual on the "New, Improved" FR of course, but disheartening to witness nonetheless.
Really? Approximately 100 people still had the guts to stand up for America's military in Washington on April 20th of this year, even though they knew they would be outnumbered by 50-75,000 demonstrators hostile to their cause. Are you implying that Muslims are cowards? Some, yes; but certainly not all.
And THAT is precisely the problem---the BIG problem.
Decent people all over the world are constantly discussing other people based upon images fed to them by saprophytic corporate media corporations. The media feeds and grows rich upon the most dysfunctional, the most ignorant, the most evil members of society.
In the Arab world they constantly discuss Americans based upon the same saprophytic media images.....
