I don't understand how Cruithne could be considered Earth's 'second moon' though. From the link you provided it orbits the sun and just passes through Earth's orbit

Bingo! It is not a moon, since it does not orbit earth. This article is incorrect in describing Cruithne as a moon of earth's.
