His real message is that he's in charge.Thank God!

Exactly. I watched the re-broadcast this morning of when President Bush received the news a year ago that the Twin Towers had been hit. And just a few minutes later, you heard the resolve in his voice, on his face, and in his words that we would get those who had perpetrated this terrorism upon this nation. And his resolve is still there, a year later. It is the stupid media who have an attention span of a gnat.

The president granted the interviews after he turned down similar requests from other news organizations, including The New York TimesSour grapes!
To: Utah Girl
I watched ABC (blekk) this morning run a montage of the "Where's the President? We need comfort!"
Peter Jennings sheepishly said some people thought his remarks were critical of the President. He said no, that, He was asking the questions because he didn't have all the story.
They then ran a piece on what went on, during the time the President spent trying to get back to Washington.
I think he wants to revise his own history. He should be ashamed.
But, alas I'm whistling in the wind.

Oh yeah, the President is so cruel in trying to give a little hope to a little boy.....What was he thinking, he should have told the lad..*kid, your dad is dead*....(sarcasm, for those not sure)

The sight of a president crying is unusual and powerful enough to obscure his wordsI don't recall x42's crocodile tears at Ron Brown's funeral being unusual and powerful. They were disgusting. Of course, that's because - unlike Bush's - they were phoney.

The NYT is so patently anti-administration that one wonders when it will end the pretence and put "a DNC publication" in its masthead.

Nothing the media can do about our love for this great President and the honorable people he chose to be in his administration. With few exceptions they have all made a great sacrifice to serve their country again.
Thank you, Mr. President.

At least his emotions are genuine, and he's not biting his lip!

The president granted the interviews after he turned down similar requests from other news organizations, including The New York Times.Well, gee...I wonder why he refused an interview with the NYT? What a bunch of whiners these NYTers are. Their disdain is so bloody transparent it is almost sickening to read this. The NYT is garbage.

Can you imagine what clinton's lower lip would look like today, if he'd still been POTUS at the time of the attacks? Barf!

Aaaaargh!
I do not want any more Diania-ized memorial services, grief counselors, navel-gazing media stories, candles, posters, lesson plans, concerts, religious services or heart-rending stories.
If the families and close friends of those who died on 9/11 want to grieve, God bless them. They can and should do so.
Me, I only want one thing today.
I want the 82nd Airborne to go over there and "get some".

I have been lurking around all the cable and network coverage and Jennings has been doing a hit piece on our President for the past hour. How the world hates us, how stupid Bush is for wanting to attack Iraq, etc. It is sickening. And on NBC, Brokaw is interviewing a crowd full of arrogant, Bush administration haters. They want more money, more money, more money. And they think President Bush didn't protect them, insinuating he knew. I am just pissed off at some of this coverage on the one-year anniversary.

American Media - THE ENEMY WITHIN
To: Wait4Truth
I think the media has totally lost it. Their outright antagonism toward this administration is showing in spades. But you know what? It isn't affecting public opinion. Rush just said that the latest ABC/NYT poll shows W's approval rating at 71%. Ha ha ha.
God, I hate the press.
I can only imagine what it would be like if the media actually supported a Republican President! It's a wonder republicans ever get elected, what with the media's constant haranguing. Guess the American people know who to trust and it's not the media. No wonder journalists and reporters rank at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to respect and integrity.
